25.01.2022 Good morning studends,parents and caregivers. I wanted to congratulate everyone on their grading last night,with a big thank you to Grand Master Frost for traveling up to Gloucester to allow everyone to sit for their examination. Everyone passed and we even had one of our 10th cup/2 belts grade straight to yellow belt. I was very proud of everyone who graded and it was great to also see a lot of our new beginners still turn up to meet Grand Master Frost and train for the eve...ning even though they were not grading. Congratulations to everyone. With the grading finishing late I did not get the opportunity to remind everyone that there is no training over the school holidays but we will return the Tuesday that school goes back.(two weeks off).Training fees for the month of April will only be half fees. 17.01.2022 Corona Virus Update. Hello Toogee students and families As a Professional Martial Arts organisation, we take all Health and Safety matters seriously.... I have been closely monitoring what is going on with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), and how it impacts on our training, and more importantly, the health and safety of our students. At this stage, I have decided that we will continue with classes, but to be safe we have implemented some additional measures. Instructors will enforce a strict hygiene/cleaning policy at HQ, with equipment, mats, bathrooms, and public areas being disinfected and cleaned daily. In locations where we use community halls all efforts will be made to ensure hygienic conditions in the areas used by the students. We will be encouraging (and enforcing) additional and regular personal hygiene of all staff and students with hand washing and sanitation. We are introducing sanitising stations at all dojangs (subject to availability), which members will be encouraged to use before and after training. Our health policy stipulates that any student who is sick should stay home until they are better. We will be strictly enforcing this policy. For the time being, there will be no close contact partner work in classes. This means students will miss some activities but there are still plenty of things to do, with focus being redirected to basics, drills, pad and fitness work etc. If you are travelling overseas, please don't return to training until 14 days after your return home and you are sure you are free of any ill health symptoms. We are doing everything we can to ensure that classes are the same, and that students will not miss out on the fun, fitness and social interaction at their Toogee classes. I will continue to monitor the situation and advise you accordingly if things change. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to call or email me, or speak with your Branch Instructor, we will be more than happy to discuss this further. I just wanted to touch base with everyone to say that unfortunately we are still not allowed to use the Masonic Lodge hall for training this week as their overseers still think that Covid-19 is a problem until the very end of July. I have explained how keen myself and all students,parents and carers are to resume our training ASAP. I had a meeting scheduled for last Saturday to discuss moving the start date forward but unfortunately it got canceled on me. 02.01.2022 Just letting all students and parents know that Grand Master Frost has cancelled the beach training day in Newcastle tomorrow because of the high temperatures. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday night.

01.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone,finally after all this time I am happy to announce we will be starting back at Toogee Taekwondo this Tuesday evening(18th August)at 5:15pm. The classes will still finish 7:15pm as before. The Masonic hall is now Covid-19 ready and under the guidelines we are allowed up to 24 people in that size hall when practicing our safe distancing. We will be operating out of one bathroom and are not allowed in the kitchen or any other area of the hall to minimise ...contamination,so please remember to bring your own drink bottle. We will have a modified training session with no contact and safe distancing. Both the Masonic lodge and Toogee have requested at this stage that parents who can go home after dropping off to please do so,and if traveling some distance to training to maybe have to wait in the car to help keep the numbers and risk of contamination down. Everyone who enters the hall has to sign in with their contact details. 90% of students are actually in credit for their training fees which is all documented and will be continued from when we finished off last training session approx mid month. If you owe training fees please see me before class to sort out. I'm very excited and looking forward to seeing and training with everyone again. Can you please reply and let me know if you will be returning,as I understand that some students and parents are not comfortable training under the current COVID-19 situation because of health reasons.
