25.01.2022 Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, on Monday 16/3/20, our committee made the decision to cancel this year’s Toast for Kids Charity Gala. Even though many of us are healthy and can fight off the virus, our committee were not willing to risk those who may not be able to. The good news is though, we have already booked next year’s Gala for Saturday 27th March at the paranaple convention centre Devonport including live entertainment. Between now and then, we will be continuin...g with our fundraising efforts to support school breakfast clubs and in securing more books for our Books for Babies project. . In the meantime, a huge THANKS goes out to everyone who has supported this year’s Gala and if you have purchased a ticket, refunds are now available. Additionally, if you or your business has donated prizes, we will be in contact with you shortly. Thanks again for all your wonderful support!

23.01.2022 Our committee is proud to conduct this year's Devonport Reader's Cup at the paranaple convention centre, Devonport with nine local primary schools. The Reader's Cup is another addition to our aim to - "Break the cycle of poverty, poor health, social exclusion, and helplessness, through and by supporting education."

22.01.2022 Great to visit Spreyton Primary School and present to their School Student Council & teacher Karen Allen with a commercial toaster, valued at just under $800, for their school breakfast club. Toast for Kids is proud to assist in providing speedy, nutritional breakfasts for children who attend school without having breakfast.

21.01.2022 Had the pleasure of visiting the Devonport Playhouse for National Simultaneous Storytime - enjoying Buzz Lightyear (sister?) reading "Give Me Some Space! by Philip Bunting. Great story, especially when audience are eating fruit rocket ships. Well Done!

04.01.2022 Attended the International Cafe yesterday at Bell's Parade and presented Nataliya with a "Books for Baby" to read aloud to her 14 month old. The International Cafe is an opportunity to informally meet and socialise with other expats/migrants living in NW Tasmania.
