23.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone 2 urgent jobs already while we are on holidays. One new sink pre rinse spray unit, supplied from our range and installed, and supplied and installed some spring hinge cartridges for stainless steel fridge doors. Where possible we will continue to attend to urgent jobs during the holiday season. We will be back from holidays next week but if thethe workload allows will move our official return date to the following Monday the 13th

22.01.2022 So we are flattening the curve, turning the corner, on the road to recovery. Whatever you call it hopefully this tough time will be over soon for the Hospitality industry. Alot of our customers are closed or on minimal trade but some are taking the opportunity to get major or minor renovations done. Or simply repair or upgrade old to new. Are you ready for the day when you can open fully again? Have you got annoying things that are better fixed or replaced before you do?... People will be hanging to get out when they can. 21.01.2022 Back at work full-time last week. New Client.... new problems - broken water line to combi-oven - no drain to coffee machine - lost end caps to dishwasher rinse arms... - no detergent feed to combi-oven (or even the cleaning chemical available) - no bracket holder for spray rinse - once fixed water to combi-oven, there was no drain for the condensate when steaming - arcing condensate evaporator pan in freezer tripping power points All fixed! No time to put in place systems to maintain all aspects of this commercial kitchen for them

20.01.2022 A couple of weeks back with our club and hotel customers able to operate again and we have had a range of things: Stainless Bench Frame Benchtop Stainless "wrap" Fridge drawer runners... Unusual fridge seals Bench Repair A dozen regular fridge seals and the custom overshelf from the last post What "other commercial kitchen stuff" can we do for?

19.01.2022 One of these glass doors was smashed and needed a matching one made. The new one we made matches exactly.... and is the only one that now sits level ( second door) with all new hinge hardware too

18.01.2022 A mixed bag again this week.... Another duct inspection for a venue who want to use Shepherd Filters but wanted a third party opinion of their extraction system first. And more of those small things, fridge seals, hinges and more. Even the smallest of things..... roofing tek screws are not suitable coolroom hinge fasteners. Threaded inserts and stainless bolts will last longer than the coolroom now! ( photo is before and after.... I did replace all 4 tek screws)

15.01.2022 How is your business coping with hand washing facilities? No set ups for customers at your front door? Or staff in the office?? 15.01.2022 Another unique job we can do..... We have replaced display fridge and heat cabinet sliding doors before, both glass and perspex, and even installed them entirely into open cabinets but this one was new...... These doors were on a BBQ Chicken cabinet with a bend in it! We found a company that could fold acrylic sheets and had them put in the unique angle we needed. Then we could add handles and install. ... Looks a bit better and much more usable. Have you got a challenge we can help with??

14.01.2022 As the state begins to ease restrictions venues are starting to open up again. We have been able to get back to more normality ourselves. The last week or so has seen us getting more of "The Other Commercial Kitchen Stuff" done. Door repairs, duct inspections, fan replacements, door spring hinges and more Contact us with the little things or big things that you have found that need fixing or replacing as we come out of hibernation

12.01.2022 Big things that break are easy to see and usually quickly addressed but small things are sometimes hard to fix, left as "one day" jobs and can become big problems before you realise. Little piece of these Bar Tap drains was missing/broken. We sourced them and installed the waste fitting in the centre of the pan and ran hose lines to drain. Before on the left, after on the right. No obvious visual difference but a BIG difference in functionality.

09.01.2022 With the ever changing Coronavirus situation we remain open but most of our customers are closed. Some of our customers are still trading in a take away only arrangement and things do break. We had a callout last week to fix a freezer room latch that was broken in a club that was not trading at all but needed the latch fixed to keep items frozen while they were closed. Working from home I took the opportunity to make some more of the in-fryer filter baskets I have been making for Frymaster vats. They are for a club that is closed too so can't deliver them yet.

08.01.2022 Another little thing.... That access door under the fry vat does not stay shut with blu tac and plastic draw magnets. The right stainless box magnets stop the staff from tripping over a open door at knee height while carrying things

05.01.2022 Another new brand name equipment sale for us today. And not even to a commercial kitchen. This one was a request from one of our local RFS stations. Another one of the "other" things we can do.. a pie warmer ..... if your looking for something for food service and want to buy local get in contact with us

04.01.2022 As the weather gets hotter consider a thermal strip curtain for your Coolroom or food preparation area to help maintain temperature and deter flying insects. Or like below, get us to replace the broken or damaged strips if you already have one. Send us a message if we can fix your existing one or install a new one.

02.01.2022 COVID 19 We are monitoring the ever changing situation with respect to this current crisis and the guidleines imposed are severely effecting 80% of our customer base, Clubs, Pubs, Hotels and restaurants. At this point in time we are still operating "business as usual" but we are acutely aware that our customers are not. The latest restrictions have caused the forced closure of most of the sites we would normally service or atleast greatly alter the way they do business. For ...us it means all of our scheduled or quoted jobs have either been cancelled, postponed indefinetely or venues are choosing to "cope with things" until they know what the future holds. As a result we are also feeling your pain. As I am the only onsite operator we are able to be flexible. We are practicing regular handwashing/sanitising and social distancing and scheduling onsite work to avoid being in kitchen areas with staff or during food preparation. If you have those "other" jobs that need fixing we are still here for you or maybe this downtime is the time to look at that new piece of equipment you have been thinking of, or that repair or alteration that has been too hard while operating? Message us? Alternatively we are taking orders for products that we are distibutors for over the phone and delivering as a "no signature required" drop off. 01.01.2022 With work booked for the rest of this week this rounds out a year of mixed and varied work. We would like to wish all our customers and colleagues a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We will be closed for the holiday period from 20/12/19 to 6/1/20... We will be checking messages and emails if you need anything in between and we will see what can be arranged
