25.01.2022 To me, this is my favourite topic to discuss: science vs religion. @the_float_guru discussed it in great lengths! Personally, I don’t think they cancel each other out; in fact, I think they compliment each other. We need to know what there is, and we also need to know how to act. What do you think? Are you an atheist? Are you religious or spiritual? #religionofpeace #spirituality #floattherapy
25.01.2022 One of the reasons why I started to make content about politics was because I was afraid. Oh fear, you and I have had an incredible journey together pal. After having studied 20th century Germany and the Soviet Union, nothing could (should?) terrify me, and all of us, more than political extremism whether that be on the left or the right. Extremism is bad, plain and simple. So, I have decided to become a spokesperson for the centrists and the diplomats and create content abou...t why and how we can all get along (not that we need any more of this!). We can and should want to all get along because we’re all so cool... even you! . This is a thumbnail from a recent YouTube video I made about why the political left and right need each other. Sometimes we need to be conservative about ideas because ideas can destabilise important foundations. Other times we need to progress because old ideas are unable to solve current social problems. We need each other friends, now more than ever! Tell me what you think of the video in the comments section below! Are you more conservative or more progressive about ideas? REMEMBER: There is no right or wrong and I will personally stand up against those who make assumptions and troll people pointlessly. In fact, you know what I’ll do! I won’t invite you to my next birthday party! #leftvsright #labour #liberal #democrat #republican
24.01.2022 An incredible photo to come out of the USA election whereby both people, on either side, as is seen in this depiction, are protesting for the same reasons: Individual sovereignty. I’m obviously discounting the specifics and the circumstances but as they say, a picture paints a thousands words. #uselection #democrat #republican #biden #trump #weareone
23.01.2022 The Find Your Mission course launches tomorrow Here’s what my clients have to say about it! Can’t wait time are you all at the webinar tomorrow AEST
21.01.2022 One of the things I talk about in my Find Your Mission course is Motivation. . Clients tell me they lack motivation; that they procrastinate or are simply lazy. I do not believe them. . More often than not, they lack frameworks. They don’t have a reason to act: they don’t have a why and a why not (the latter is often disregarded).... . One of the ideas I hope to convey to you in this course is how to successfully build a framework for you life. If you set yourself up so that you don’t need motivationbecause you can see reward and punishment in your actionsyou will not lose. . If you would like some free content related to motivation you can register your details by clicking the first link in my bio. I am also hosting a free webinar TOMORROW so stay tuned for updates! #mindmates See more

17.01.2022 Although I know this to be true, I can’t even buy banana bread for someone without asking for a bite . Maybe I’m not altruistic because I’m not old yet... there is still time!
13.01.2022 In 2018 I published my first book ‘Yes I’m Fine, Just Tired’. Organising my diary entries into a chronological, coherent series of pages felt like an incredible cathartic releaseI felt free. In my early twenties, I was overcome by death anxiety. I was old enough to recognise the finality of life yet still too young to accept it; I didn’t want to, I couldn’t. My first book is a humble, coming of age story; a quest to love being me. My new book is a reflection of me and of the... psychology of religionsomething I both revered and despised (at the time). As a child I can remember looking down at my hands, questioning how I managed to get in this body. I look back after all my research with a sense of nostalgia, realising that I’d inadvertently stumbled upon the oldest questions of humanity. If you haven’t read or listened to my first book, you can! I have met, both personally and professionally, many who struggled - and struggle - with anxiety, OCD and depression. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I also look forward to you reading my second book ‘But, You Never Left’. It has taken me nearly three years to write and write and write. Stay tuned for updates! #psychologyofreligion #spirituakity #liveameaningfullife #anxietyrelief #ocdawareness
12.01.2022 If you loved him, you LOVED him. The late, great @christopherhitchens on his reasons why writing, over any other endeavour or career, suited him. I’ll have a bit more to come this week about the great man!
11.01.2022 Rather than turning away from fear, can you peer into it, through the door and see what it is trying to tell you? Can you see your fear as you see your joy? Can you see it as another emotionnot as bad or good? A few weeks ago I lost myself down a contemporary conspiracy rabbit hole and (unconsciously) smothered myself in fear I did not want. My fear was telling me that political extremes are scary; that rational discourse and democracy must be preserved and that in order to ...reconcile the two, both sides must talk to each other. My fear was telling me that Orwell and Huxley were right all along; that their dystopian futures were merely months away! My fear eroded my hope. I wanted to escape; I wanted to run to the fridge and eat; I wanted to flood myself with pleasure, scrollingnumbing myself on YouTube; I wanted to forget the world by getting into my body and causing pain the way I used toworking out for too long. Instead, I tried to take responsibility for my feelings. I hate doing that because, time and time again, I am met with the painful truth that I am to blame for everything that happens to me, by me, because of me. But that responsibility means I can do something to change my current situation. All it took, funnily enough, was a phone call with dad and a conversation with my partner, admitting to her that I was afraid. As soon as the words came out, the fear slowly dissipated. The fear no longer ‘was me’. It was now another part of me. In those moments, it’s hard to take responsibility for things that seem to happen to us. But if we can, we will be met with a freedom beyond comprehension. This is a lesson I am continually learning, but it is making all the difference.
11.01.2022 It was only a matter of time before I’d make a video about the late, great @christopherhitchens - an inspirational writer, speaker and debater with an incredible lexicon. In 2009, Christopher Hitchens appeared on Australia’s #qanda to discuss topics such as religion, atheism, secularism, multiculturalism and spirituality. Much has changed since then but the debate between science and religion continues to play out. Hitchens’ appearance on #qanda happens to be my favourite of... his so I made a video discussing his points and the points of others on the show. If you were a fan of Christopher Hitchens, this one might be for you! The link to my YouTube channel is in my bio - it’s simple! Just type in my name! Happy Sunday!
11.01.2022 The best way to construct a life of meaning is to reduce the amount of possible futures and focus all your time and attention on making the one you want for yourself the absolute best it can be! Scarcity leads to value hierarchies! #findyourpurpose
10.01.2022 If scientists proved the existence of God, scientists and religious folk alike would celebrate together, all around the world!
09.01.2022 The only ego you should attach yourself to is the ego that isn’t afraid to die. Be the ego open to being other egos! If you don’t like someone or don’t agree with their opinions and beliefs, invite them out to dinner and get to the bottom of it. Engage in a battle of ideas, not people. . Book is in draft mode!
08.01.2022 I enjoy speaking with Geraint Lewis so much I had him back on the show! Topics covered: - Are aliens, evolutionarily, future humanoids? - Will mathematics be replaced by a more sophisticated language capable of measuring the universe? - What current lifestyle behaviours will have immeasurable impacts on our biology in the future? - What if science proved the existence of God?... I could talk about this stuff for hours and what better than to bounce ideas with the experts! #sciencevsreligion #aliensarereal #evolutionlove

07.01.2022 "Attachment" Or "Avoidant" Issues? Are they really issues? Here’s what they are, and here’s how to move past your past!
07.01.2022 As much as I don’t like to peer into my neighbours backyard, I can’t help but love this line of thinking. It reminds me of @krishnamurtifoundationtrust It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a sick society. Life is better today than it was 50, 100, 2000 years ago, on the whole, for humans; but the fact that it isn’t perfect means that we still have work to do and Zizek’s thought processes help me think outside the box both literally - because my head really does look like a box - and metaphorically! Happy Wednesday everyone! #slovajzizek #krishnamurti #thinkingoutsidethebox
05.01.2022 As @terributlermp states here, time management is pivotal in the political realm; but it’s a skill necessary for us all to learn. . One of the points she made (which I loved) was about the importance of prioritising. We can’t do everythingdespite what some may think . So the question becomes: what can we do that will yield the greatest outcomes for ourselves and others we are trying to help. ... . Having said that, @terributlermp is about 4,000 times busier than I’ll ever be so thanks again for doing the podcast my friend! #mindmates See more
