16.01.2022 For some reason Facebook insists that my business is in Macksville, and refuses to accept that it is not. My business address is 35 Short St, Nambucca Heads 2448. One day FB may accept my changes but that day has yet to come.

14.01.2022 I am currently in self isolation. I have 2 people at home with bad asthma and I don't want to take any chances. I am available for phone support and anything I can do by remote access. If I have to physically work on your computer I will be following protocols like the ones shown below.

12.01.2022 Just had a customer in who took out a 60 day trial of AVG Internet Security. This involved giving details to Digital River, who look after AVG's payments, so that after 60 day s my customer would automatically pay for a full subscription. Under no circumstances should anyone do this. Once on the system the only way you can cancel the subscription is over the phone. You will waste 25 minutes on the phone to various call centres, all of which will test your patience by trying ...to talk you out of cancelling and offering discounts on what is, by comparison to its competition, a way overpriced Internet Security suite. AVG has been around for ages, however this is not the behaviour of a company that would like to be considered as legitimate. Firstly, no credit card or bank account details should be required for a free trial - ever. That is dodgy to say the least. Secondly, it should be a matter of pressing a button that says "Cancel Trial" to cancel the trial. Having to spend 25 minutes on the phone to call centres because the company has decided to make cancelling a "free trial" so difficult is ludicrous, and also very dodgy. Not the actions of a legitimate organisation, or one that wants to be considered legitimate. Use AVG free by all means, but be very wary of any "free trials" offered. If any one asks for credit card or bank details for something "free", there is never a good reason.

12.01.2022 I have just changed the trading hours for Toms Computers shop in Macksville. We are open 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 1 pm Friday. Onsite work will be done after 4pm Monday to Thursday. Where possible I will arrange medical appointments for after 1pm on Friday.

01.01.2022 I am currently transitioning from a shop based business to a mobile one. The shop in Macksville is closed and the 65682111 number is in limbo while it is hopefully moved to my home internet service. This move has been complicated not only by covid-19, but by some long overdue medical procedures on my legs (which may or may not ever forgive me for 20 years of standing on concrete) and health concerns of family members. As a result the move has not been as smooth as I would hav...e liked, and I have not been as accessible as a mobile technician as a mobile technician should be. Thanks to everyone who has supported our shop over the years. I ask you to please bear with me while I overcome these extra challenges and establish a new normal to business operations. Tom
