24.01.2022 Rituals......an important feature of any child's upbringing. As adults, we have a great opportunity to create memories with our kids; ones that they will never... forget. Reinvented times used as cycles of positivity for our kids; times to promote their welfare, reduce their anxieties and open communication channels. Whether its the ritual milkshake after music lessons; sharing a pie and sauce with your kid at the footy; camping with the family next a favorite stretch of river; or going on holidays to that same place where you can just breathe with your kids - it's all about the creation of good family memories - and it is these memories, that will provide them with a great refuge against life's storms. What was your favorite family ritual? #familylaw #familycourt #familyviolence #kidsmatter #tobeloved #kidswithavoice #kidswithavoice #familylife #parenting #parents #mentalhealth #tobeloved #tommy

21.01.2022 So proud to be presenting THE VOICE OF A CHILD with Dr Phil Stahl and Dr Robert Simon and showing our film TOMMY at this amazing World Congress. Well done to the team with special mention to Sally Nicholes and Diana Bryant. So far this month I have presented in Kansas, Minneapolis and Hobart (twice) . I am humbled, honoured and heartened to be able to perform some impactful work through our kids’ charity TO BE LOVED NETWORK. Next month I am back in Kansas, and presenting to some 162 Judges and the Bar in Arizona, Phoenix. Exciting times with the hope of making a real difference to children’s lives #charity #film #network #children #giveback #nonprofit #tobeloved #workdcongress #community

07.01.2022 TOMMY has 4 nominations at prestigious AFIN International Festival, Qld. Recently Superior Court Judge Cohen in Arizona said this, in part : Tommy---what a re...markable journey you took us on. When I think about it as a connoisseur of the arts, I am in inspired by your storytelling ability. I have always felt that to be able to tell a full story in a short story format requires such exceptional skill. Here, in less than 20 minutes, I got to know Tommy, feel what Tommy was experiencing, and even felt empathy for his parents in spite of their malfeasance. Remarkable..... When viewing Tommy through that lens, I was devastated. I have seen the effects of Tommy’s story over and over again. I have dedicated my professional life to lifting each Tommy of the world out of their circumstances by attempting to open the eyes of the mothers and fathers, who mean well but cannot get out of their own or each other’s way. The fact that your story is told in Australia reaffirms for me that Tommy is from everywhere. It also tells me that over the course of my near 40 year career, we as a system have not progressed very far in our mission to help families heal in a fashion that protects each Tommy from what it is like to be in that parking lot. #familylaw #tbl #familylawyer #kidswithavoice #kids #familyviolence
