24.01.2022 Hi Everyone,, So guess what I have been busy making!! I’ve worked out a pattern for well fitted mask made from cotton fabric and with a breathable gauze layer inside the mask. There is wire across the top to secure the gaps around the nose also. ... On the back ie. your safe side,, it opens up to allow you to add in extra layers if you feel the need. This is NOT a replacement for a medical/surgical disposable mask. If you have them,, there is room inside for it. But otherwise,, I believe a fabric mask does help, especially now we are social distancing ourselves. They are washable too and protect you if you touch your face etc. I know people are sceptical about fabric masks and opinions are all different but Im of the opinion that something must be better than nothing!! plus I need to support my family and thought this was something that would help others too. I have adult and child masks made in a few different prints.. see pics! Plus I’m getting more fabrics too!! All masks will be washed dried and packed for collection or to post! 22.01.2022 And this is why I’m making Fabric masks,, there is a shortage for those who need them most! Something is better than nothing. Plus social distancing! ... Stay safe people! XX Please read; Teachers, school staff and childcare staff across the country will go into schools/nurseries over the coming weeks where they will interact with children of NHS staff who are highly exposed to COVID-19. They will not be given face masks or protective clothing. They may not even be given hand gel or antibacterial wipes. They won't get free coffee, free flowers, half price pizza, applause or special shopping hours. They will perform their jobs in ways they have never done before and they will do it with a smile on their faces so that the children in their care don't know how scared they are. Scared for those children. Scared for their own children. Scared of being responsible for taking the virus back home to their loved ones. So please, please do not send your kids to school/nursery unless you absolutely have to - if there is any way you can keep them at home, do so. Thank you to all teachers, teaching assistants, child care workers, kitchen staff, cleaners, caretakers, admin staff and anyone else heading into a school/nursery this week to keep it running so that our NHS and carers can take care of the sick and the vulnerable, our shops can stay open and deliveries can continue.
