As of today, my massage association, Massage and Myotherapy Australia, has recommended that remedial massage therapists follow state Health Department guidelines. So, as at the time of posting this, SA's Chief Medical Officer has said that we can continue practicing whilst following the strict infection control procedures. ... After careful consideration, with the information that I had yesterday, I chose to close business until further notice. Now, with this current information, I am happy to treat any client who is in great need, provided they are well and their health is not compromised. Please feel free to get in touch if this is you. Should this change again, there will be another update. I wish all my clients the very best at this time, and to trust that we will all make it out the other side of this. 14.01.2022 This week I was reminded that time is so very precious and to make every moment count. My dear client of over 10 years passed away. I was blessed to get to know her and learn more about her life each time I saw her. I am in such a privileged position in my role to connect with some truly amazing clients. I treasure these opportunities. So choose how you spend your time. Following my association's directive, members are allowed to continue providing massage services at this stage, which is great news for us all. I have trained in and am implementing infection control in my practice. I am well, fitter than ever and hope to stay that way! I will inform you should the situation change, and please, if you're unwell or unsure about anything, please fe...el free to get in touch. These are strange and unknown times for us all. Small business, especially service providers are quite vulnerable now, so your continued support, where possible, is even more appreciated. I feel that in amongst the fear and concern, there is a great opportunity for us to come together ( well not too close! ), help people in need, share if we can, reach out to people who are vunerable and isolated, and the potential to rebirth true community spirit.
