17.01.2022 If you have travelled along Milton Road lately you may have had your drive brightened by the newly painted traffic signal box at the Croydon Street intersection. This beautiful artwork was produced by Year 2 student Alice White. The painting of BCC traffic signal boxes is overseen by an organisation called Urban Smart Projects. Boxes for painting are available for anyone, and are released every few months. Two in Sherwood Rd appear to be becoming available in mid-January. Check out www.urbansmartprojects.com for more information.

10.01.2022 Our school was incredibly lucky to have Delvene Cockatoo-Collins Art collaborate on a project with some of our students last term. Delvene and the students created a mural in the school hall to support Reconciliation. The mural shows how the seasons change in a cycle and how this is reflected in the natural environment. The project was made possible through an Embrace 2018 Commonwealth Games Reconciliation Grant. This amazing artwork will be cherished for years to come.
10.01.2022 Thank you to scientist Dr Karl Kruszelnicki for spending time in a Q&A Skype session with some of our students last week. The kids enjoyed every minute, and asked some great scientific questions like "Do you think we are the only living things in the Universe?", "What would happen if there were no animals in the world?", and "What is the highest temperature on Mars?". Dr Karl also sent a set of books, signed and with inspirational quotes, as a gift to the school library.
