25.01.2022 Due to the continued wet weather affecting field & pitch preparation combined with the greater Brisbane COVID-19 situation the TCI Board & Club Representatives have taken the decision to ABANDON ALL TCI fixtures scheduled for this weekend. We will monitor the situation regarding next week’s T20s and weekend fixtures during the week. Stay safe and healthy.

18.01.2022 Queensland Cricket Media Release Top Umpires For DDBBL - Leading Queensland Officials On Show International umpires Bruce Oxenford and Donovan Koch will take pa...rt in this weekend’s opening round of the Darling Downs Bush Bash League in Toowoomba. The duo, Queensland’s highest-ranked umpires, will conduct umpire training and development on Sunday as well as officiate in matches in the opening round of the T20 competition which enters its second year this season. Former CA National Panel Umpire Damien Mealey will also take part in training and officiating, which will see the three visitors paired with local umpires for the DDBBL matches. Oxenford, a former Queensland first-class spinner, has been a member of the ICC Elite Umpiring Panel since 2012 and has umpired 58 Tests, 96 One Day Internationals and 20 T20 Internationals. Koch, who played first-class cricket in South Africa and began his umpiring career in England, made his One Day International debut last season. Both umpires will be in action tomorrow in the second round of the Kookaburra One Day competition in the Bulls Masters First Grade. The training on Sunday will take place at Captain Cook Oval between 10.15am and 12.00pm and will be a practical session covering fieldcraft, positioning, updated playing conditions and laws with local umpires. They will be available to local media from 12pm. The opening round of the Bush Bash League will get underway from 2pm. The four-round competition will play games at Gatton, Highfields Sports Park and Toowoomba Grammar School and culminate in a semi-final round on 13 October and Final on 18 October.

16.01.2022 No - your eyes are not deceiving you .. The Murdoch Lawyers DDBBL ladder is a carbon copy of last years where 4 teams may finish on 12 points after next week...s final round . We have a new ladder leader with the Hip Pocket Rockets, rocketing into first place. Piete Van Der Kooij was on fire, smashing 91 at a SR of 142 to help the team overcome the Aidacare Aztecs. In game 2, Sean McCarthy took center stage with bowling figures of 4 for 5 off 3.3 overs to beat the Grammar Blazers. See more

15.01.2022 In conjunction with Round 1 of the DDBBL02 (2 of the games went down to the last ball) Toowoomba hosted a DDSWQ umpiring session with the assistance of QC’s Damien Mealey, ICC International Panel umpire Bruce Oxenford and CA First Class Panel Umpire Donovan Koch who then officiated in the three matches with local umpires. A most informative and practical session - many thanks guys. Great appreciated.

This tim...e he was performing amazing gymnastic feats, giving gifts to all DDBBL supporters, helping Big Shot Photography and even mingling with the opposing team! Ones things for sure, everyone loved Lightning Man!! There has also been rumours of who the REAL Lightning man is... we think one of these photos put’s those rumours to bed!!
