24.01.2022 Next class commencing 6.30pm Tuesday 19th Jan. Dogs/pups must have completed vaccinations (generally 12 weeks). Dogs must be hungry, fitted with flat collar and lead (approx 1 - 1.5m length.) Bring lots of yummy treats.... $100 for 5 week course. Contact Wendy 0418 871 982 to book a place. Small classes.

21.01.2022 Next basic manners class commences Tuesday 5th April at 6.30pm. Congratulations to Caitlin and her beautiful Paps on their first agility competition on the weekend. Did the club proud bringing home 3 qualifying cards. Expressions of interest for a weekend work shop. ... CRATE TRAINING & NOISE DESENSITISING. We are looking at the end of April for a 2 day work shop. Please reply if you are interested in this program before we go ahead with arrangements. Dogs will learn to relax in a crate which is very handy for vet stays, holidays, recuperating from injure or surgery etc. Kat Burns will work on noise sensitivity of thunder , fire works and more. Kat is an accredited trainer who can also do one on one training for most issues with your dogs.

18.01.2022 We started a class on Thursday 5th but due to a number of enquires today we will hold another first night on Tuesday 10th then continue on the Thursday. Cost is $100 for the class for 5 lessons but you can join in the class for the rest of the year. I supply the clicker, homework book and instruction. You need to bring a hungry dog, lots of small, yummy easy to eat treats in a zip lock bag and/or training pouch (available for $30), flat collar and lead. Owners/handlers need... to wear closed in shoes and suitable clothing. Class is designed for all mobility levels. Classes are held of a Thursday night at the Showground under the big shed closest to pcyc.

18.01.2022 A lot of our training comes from Mary Ray with her use of positive reinforcement training. She is one of the top clicker trainers inthe world.

16.01.2022 New classes start on Tuesday 3rd of March and Thursday 5th of March. This is basic starters obedience. It will be held at Innisfail Showgrounds undercover in the big shed. Cost is $100 for 5 weeks and includes all tuition, clicker and homework notes. You need to wear suitable clothing and closed in shoes and bring a hungry dog wearing a flat collar and lead (approx 1.5m) and lots of small tasty treats and a training pouch to hold them. Training pouches and All Fish for Dogs treats can be purchased on the night. Operant conditioning/clicker training is used. This is a hands off training method without the use of punishers.



14.01.2022 Time to dust off the joggers again. At Innisfail Showgrounds under the big shed. We have a few more activities planned for this year. Dogs Queensland (governing body of pedigree dogs) is adding some fun competitions. Detection dogs and tricks. You do not need a pedigree dog to join in these ... We will start off Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th January 2020 both being the basic clicker and manners class. We will start with 2 seperate classes a week as some regulars cant attend the new Thursday time slot. The course goes for an hour a week 6.30 - 7.30pm for 5 weeks. You and your dog/puppy will learn to work together while you teach it to: Watch Sit Drop Sit and wait for dinner Sit stay Polite greeting Walk on a lead without pulling Food refusal Come when called Nose bump Spin Place/mat Owners need to wear suitable clothing and footwear, bring lots of small easy to eat treats in a zip lock bag and a treat pouch or bum bag (available for $30). Bags of treats also for sale. Dogs must be hungry and wear a flat collar and strong lead. Remember to secure dogs safety in your car with a well fitted car harness and attachment to click into seat belt or a crate. The 5 week course costs $100 and includes homework folder and clicker. Once enrolled you can bring that dog for refreshers during the rest of the year at no extra cost. Pups must be fully vaccinated at around 3 months before attending class. No age limits on older dogs. Detection dog classes will be on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm. Dogs will learn to recognise different target odours, find them and alert. Same basic training as sniffer dogs at the airport. Minimum 6 months of age. This is a good activity for antisocial or unsocialised dogs as they will not have contact with other dogs. Others will be crated or secured out of sight until it is their turn. Tricks Classes will be Thursday nights from 7.30pm. Minimum 6 months of age. Dogs can learn to: High five Fist/nose bump Walk backwards Crawl Ride a skateboard Barrel races And whatever other weird or wonderful things that come to mind Both detection dog and tricks help give your dog balanced exercise. Exercising the dogs mind is as important as the body.

13.01.2022 Welcome to 2017. Our first class for the year will commence at 6.30pm on Tuesday 31st Jan. Basic manners, social skills and understanding your dog. 5 weeks for 1hr per week for $100. Payable on registration. Bring a hungry dog and lots of small ready to eat yummy treats. Have a flat collar on your dog and lead 1 - 1.5m long. I will supply the clicker and training notes.... 09.01.2022 The first course for 2019 will start on January 29th for 5 weeks. You will learn to teach your dog to pay attention, nose touch, sit, drop, food bowl sit stay, walk on lead without pulling, trick of your choice, leave it with the final week learning to find hidden objects. I use the latest training methods with no check chains. The main focus is to form a strong bond between dog and owner. Cost is $100 including clicker and homework book.... There will be no classes in March. I will be away learning more about dog training. New to Thursday nights will be odour detection training. Your dog will learn to find hidden odours and objects....keys! This course is aimed at any dog over 6 months. Any fitness level, deaf, blind, missing a limb or crazy unfocused dogs will benifit from this.

05.01.2022 I plan on starting my next class on Tuesday 5th September 6.30pm at the big shed at Innisfail Showgrounds.
