23.01.2022 Good morning everyone. Our first official dance was held on Sat 4 July 2020 at the new venue. Those that did attend enjoyed some great music by Stephen (thank you) and had the whole floor to themselves. This is the hall where we will be dancing from now on. As you can see it is in front of the new Palmerston Police Complex. ... Next dance is on Sat 18 July from 3.00pm - 5.30pm. Hope you will support Elin as I will be away. Cheers Vic See more
22.01.2022 Good morning everyone. After a long search for a suitable venue, we have finally secured a hall. We have the new Community Hall at Palmerston Police Complex. The building is a stand alone building between the medical clinic & the police station. The first dance will on Sat 4 July & then Sat 18 July from 3.00pm - 5.30pm at $10 per person.... Tea n coffee will be supplied but if you would like a bikkie or something you will need to supply your own, not to share. Hope to see you all there Cheers Vic Elin See more
22.01.2022 Hi everyone Top End Ballroom will not be running a dance on Saturday December 5 as the NTBDA are running the Christmas Dance, if everyone could please let me know if you would be interested in coming to our Christmas Dance December 19 and bring a plate to share, I look forward to hearing back from you all. 18.01.2022 Our latest dance was held yesterday, 2 March 2020. The instruction session was devoted to learning the Tango Terrific. All those in attendance came away knowing a whole new dance. As we conduct more of these sessions, I'm sure everyone's dance repertoire will increase immensely. Some social dancing followed.... Another great afternoon's dancing. A huge thank you to Stephen & Anne for their expertise with the Tango Terrific & the music programme. Cheers till next time. Vic
15.01.2022 Good Afternoon all you Dancers out there. a reminder that we are having a 'test run' dance at the Palmerston Rec Centre this Sat at 2.30pm. We will be in the Community Room to the right of the Main Entrance. Bring you dance shoes PLUS some street shoes with leather soles (something than can slide) as we are testing out the floor surface to see if it will be suitable or not. This is NOT an official dance, but there will be some music by Stephen as we will need to do a few danc...es to test the floor. Hope to see you there. Cheers Vic

10.01.2022 Hello everyone. How are you all coping with no dancing. I'm now working from home & as my living area is not too crowded, I can do some short routine dances. 10.01.2022 Good Afternoon Everyone After a long search all over Darwin & Palmerston, we have found a possible venue for our dances. It is the Community Room 2 at the Palmerston Recreation Centre.... Elin & I did look at this venue a short time ago, but were not sure the floor surface was suitable, so decided to look elsewhere. However, we did a 'test' run today in our dance shoes & it's not too bad - not exactly perfect, but suitable. The City has transferred our regular booking for Gray Comm Hall over to the Rec Centre, but we need to advise them if we are going to use it. The big plus for us is that it will be FREE for the next 3 months. What we thought we would do is ask all of you to come along on Sat 20 June 2020 at 2.30pm for a test run. This is our usual 3rd Sat. You will need to bring your dance shoes PLUS a pair of street shoes with leather soles (or something like that) so that we can see if we can dance properly on the surface. 05.01.2022 Good Afternoon All. Unfortunately we will need to cancel the dance on Sat 1 Aug 2020 as there has been a hiccup with the hall booking, as it's a long weekend I will be away & the DJ is unavailable. Will advise re the next dance. Cheers Vic
03.01.2022 Hi Everyone I know it's been a while since my last message, but here goes. There is good news & bad news - Good news is City of Palmerston is re-opening some community halls/centres from Fri 5 June 2020, with Gray being one of them. Bad news is the City is taking the current situation to do the renovations/additions to the hall.... This means we can resume dancing, as long as we adhere to some requirements set down by the Govt, but don't have a venue. Elin & I have looked at some alternatives, but not suitable. We will continue to search for somewhere suitable - preferably in the Palmerston area. Watch this space. Regards Vic
