17.01.2022 BELMONT - 29th August 74 runners contested the Belmont meeting yesterday and Adam Durrant sealed a double over the short course with NURHACI & THIS’LL TESTYA winning by a combined margin of 4.5L. This Girl (Arion Lass) showed a lot of ability early on winning her first 2 trials. Her first race was at Ascot where she finished a respectable 4th. Since this run not so good 7/7 and 11/11. It’s at this point it was discovered that she flipped her pallet. The connections believed the best thing for her was to have surgery which she did. The surgery appeared to be suc...cessful. However, upon her return she appeared to be lacking a lot of confidence. Her first Race was 11/11 and then 6/12. She just wasn’t completing the distance. It was at this point the connections decided to give Salt Therapy a go. She was treated 6 days out of 7 days leading up to her race where she came 2/10. She just seemed to kick and ran the distance out for the first time. It should be noted that the horse that won that race has gone on to be undefeated and subsequently sold to Hong Kong for a cool $1.4M All of them were city class races and the last one was a listed race (4 wins in a row). Due to this success we continued on with a preventative program of salt therapy to ensure her airways were the best they could be. 2 weeks later Arion Lass went on to win her first maiden! This was a huge achievement for a horse that was all but given up on. The connections decided to take her to Kalgoorlie where unfortunately, they were unable to access Salt Therapy. It was nearly 4 weeks between her runs but she failed to impress in Kalgoorlie with the following results 6/10, 10/11 and 8/10. The connections decided to move her on. Topline Equine Salt Therapy picked her up knowing she can have permanent access to Salt Therapy. Topline intend on bringing back both her confidence and ability. She’s out for a spell at the moment but watch this space!

11.01.2022 The team worked with Dimity over the weekend to assist with respiratory issues. We had good results clearing a lot of mucous from the airway and the feedback post treatment has been positive. Dimity is breathing easier and we look forward to returning to her farm to continue providing Equine Salt Therapy.
