14.01.2022 Hi ya all, just to give you an update on our operations over the next few days. Monday 23/03/20 we will be trading as normal with no changes. On Tuesday we will be operating with takeaway, pick up (Skip app) and online home delivery (Deliveroo) only. You can still enter the shop and order at the counter but you just wont be able to sit down in or on the premises. If you need to self-isolate for whatever reason then Deliveroo is a great option, if you want to skip the queue t...hen download and use the Skip app (prices are the same as takeaway). From Tuesday we will be lowering all of our prices for takeaway as there is less workload and less staff needed. We will also look at providing our own home delivery service piggy-backing off the Skip app to within a 2km radius of the shop. We will all get through this together but please be mindful of the social distancing requirements, hand-washing and hygiene practises and keep calm and stress-free as best as possible - our anxious and fearful minds will be our greatest enemy at this time. In this unfortunate time businesses will close and people will lose their jobs but all this will end sometime in the near future. The human spirit is resilient and has a way of enduring hardships that normally we would not think possible to do so whether Top Shop stays open or not isnt that important in the whole grand scheme of things however we always have been and always will be appreciative of the support & loyalty of our many local and regular customers. 13.01.2022 Hi ya all, just a reminder about the social distancing requirements we all must comply with: Only four customers inside at any one time - no exceptions, Please stay behind the lines on the floor & follow the arrows, Hand sanitiser is available upon request,... Once you have ordered please wait outside, Please wait for your food and/or coffee 1.5 metres away from the designated pick up area & other customers, The toilet is still available for use as normal but please remember to wash your hands before you leave, The stools on the patio deck are for the elderly, expectant mothers & young children & must be vacated immediately if needed by any of the aforementioned, You can remain on the patio deck with your coffee or cold beverage if you are waiting for food but you must leave immediately once your order is completed, Hopefully its just a few more weeks before we can go back to normal service so please dont let everyone down when we are within sight of the finish line. 13.01.2022 New slimline blinds to keep the chill away in the mornings - part of our winter upgrades ready for spring

12.01.2022 Hi ya all, So the big thing that is happening (and that I have been alluding to of late) is that we have received approval from SSC to extend our outdoor area downstairs. The old raised pavers will be excavated tomorrow (02/11/20) with the formwork being constructed on Tuesday & the new sandstone coloured stencilled concrete slab laid on Wednesday The new outdoor seating will be ground level and will be extended 800mm from the old border (hence the need for SSC approval) towa...rds the kerb which will help double the seating capacity downstairs We will be planting more tree’s and making the bottom wall into a feature after being repainted. It will look fresh and clean & will make a dramatic difference to the exterior of the cafe which has lagged behind the patio deck and internal area which has undergone major refurbishment since April Once the new outdoor seating area is operational we will be repairing and repainting the stairwell with coloured concrete sealer & will add grit to make it slip-proof during the wet During this work there will be no disruption to our normal trading, pop in and have a look - we will still have tables & seating downstairs as well as upstairs We are making these improvements because of and for you - our loyal customers. During the worst of the COVID crisis, when the only direction to look was up, you all came and supported us & for that we will always be appreciative of. You have given us the confidence to proceed with these works - the local area deserves a friendly little cafe that is easy on the eye & has half decent facilities instead of it still being stuck somewhere in the 70’s.

10.01.2022 Hi all, just to give you an update on what we will be doing from Friday with stage 1 coming into effect. We will put 3-4 tables downstairs with 10 chairs for customers convenience - everything else will remain the same as it is atm. We still have to comply with the one person per 4 square metres rule so that means only 4 customers will be allowed inside at any one time (same as it currently is) & the patio deck/balcony will remain a waiting area for takeaway.... All of our products will still be served in takeaway containers so it is easier for customers to transit away from the seated area if they are required to do so (eg more than 10 customers seated downstairs). We will keep a close eye on the seated downstairs area & we ask you to self-police as we would prefer not to have to ask ppl to move on but we will if we have to. If we find we are having constant issues with overcrowding in the downstairs seated area we will have no option but to cease the seating until stage 2 or 3 comes into effect. Please remember this is a slight easing of restrictions and by no means is everything back to normal, that appears to be a few months away. Stay safe, stay healthy, pls co-operate & be considerate to your fellow patrons. Again a big thank you to all of the locals & regulars who have rallied with us to help keep the doors open.

We encourage everyone who likes a quick, hassle free pick up to download the Skip app on to your mobile phone as the same prices for takeaway apply - its on-line with all of the menu choices, very easy to use & you can nominate your pick up time

07.01.2022 Hi all, as of tomorrow it is a requirement that cafes be capable of submitting dining in customer contact details digitally within 24 hours to NSW Health and/or Safework NSW, many cafes have implemented a QR code system. Our QR code is linked to a secure spreadsheet, every table has a QR code so simply follow the instructions as on the attached photo. If you dont have a smartphone with a working camera then we have a clipboard on the high tables inside the shop so you can wr...ite down your details the old fashioned way.
