24.01.2022 HAVE YOUR SAY ON WALLSEND PARKING City of Newcastle are calling for feedback on changes that are proposed to some existing parking restrictions with the aim to ...best position Wallsend for medium to long-term development of the area under the Wallsend Local Town Centre Plan. The proposed parking changes involve introducing, or reducing the duration of, time restricted parking at various locations across the town centre. Changes to parking restrictions are proposed in Bunn Street, Metcalfe & Murnin Streets, Nelson Street, Tyrrell Street, William & Charles Streets and Kemp Street. Local businesses have been asking for some changes to the timed parking and around the Wallsend CBD and I have been working with Council on looking at what changes can be made to improve parking so it will benefit our local economy.
