03.01.2022 Congratulations to Nicholas White from our Year 12 2020 cohort! Last week, as part of the Young Scientist Awards, Nicholas’s Industrial Technology Electronics Major Project was awarded an Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) Most Outstanding Physics Award. One of over 860 entries, Nicholas’s project, a remote controlled, tank style electric robot, has ‘first person view’ capabilities and is able to remotely aim and fire a foam dart blaster. Nicholas designed, created and built the robot using both new and recycled components and also made use of the school’s laser cutter and 3D printers. A great effort!
