25.01.2022 Have you ever read a story that you just knew was pulling your leg? Chances are it might have been a Tall Tale! "Tall Tales" are stories that are told as if they were true but contain exaggerated or unbelievable parts. Some tall tales are exaggerations of real events, while others are completely make-believe. Tall tales are usually very funny because the exaggerations in the story tend to be the main focus of the whole story. We are practising for a contest of Tall Tales coming up soon.Just trying to pull some ideas out of the bag right now!

21.01.2022 Good news for Toronto Toastmasters. We will soon be going back to meetings at Club Macquarie. We are hoping for 'real life' meetings in a couple of weeks. Keep checking this Facebook page for more information as it comes to hand.

21.01.2022 Toronto Toastmasters will cease our meetings at Club Macquarie until 30th April due to the COVID 19 government advice. We will then review the situation and provide you with an update. Meanwhile keep communicating in all the other ways you can - by video chat, phone, social media - and look after yourselves. Social isolation is the best way to stop this virus spreading. We are doing our part, please do yours.

20.01.2022 We had a wonderful time on Wednesday night at Toastmasters. We all prepared short speeches on inspiration to get our brains ticking for the first meeting back of 2020.

19.01.2022 Tonight at Toronto Toastmaster's Zoom Meeting we had a Theme Night. 'Tales from the Front Line', with members creating imaginary stories of their COVID19 experiences. John had created a foil hat to fight off the germs, Jackie was an Indian Sweat Shop Mask manufacturer, and Suzie was a clumsy scientist trying to find a cure. 19.01.2022 Last week was our first official meeting back at the club from our meetings on Zoom. We couldn't be happier to see all the happy faces again, socially distanced of course!

You see Toastmasters is not just about communicating, it's about connecting and thanks to Zoom you can connect anywhere in the world as long as the time is right!
