Stay safe, stay strong, stay 1.5m away from everyone, only in groups of 2, use your own gear, single craf...t only, avoid club houses, launch from an open beach, jetties and piers are probs still closed, and paddle in your local areas It's been a fun rollercoaster for Victorian paddlers and all the new covid-19 guidelines, but sense has prevailed and canoeing has been moved out of the boating ban and officially back into the exercise category. 19.01.2022 We are asking Victorians to stop all forms of recreational boating to help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). From 11.59pm tonight, Victoria is introduc...ing Stage 3 restrictions. There will only be four reasons to leave your house: For essential food and supplies. For exercise. For medical care. And for work and education if necessary. To be clear, the Premier has described exercise as ‘a walk round the block or a bike ride to stretch your legs and get some fresh air’. This does not include recreational boating. Please note that Marine Search and Rescue services do not have the same capability to perform rescues on the water as they normally would. Anyone choosing to head out on the water is putting themselves and others at increased risk. Our advice is to stay home, take the time to inspect your lifejackets and keep on top of boat maintenance, and prepare for when we have the all clear to head back out. If you can stay home, you must stay home. Take care everyone. 07.01.2022 To help slow the spread of coronavirus, we recommend you cancel planned boating activities this weekend. Recreational boating is a non-essential activity. The ...advice to Victorians is clear: if you can stay home, you must stay home. Your exposure to others while refuelling, buying bait or being rescued in the event of an incident may contribute to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This is tough. But each of us are being asked to make sacrifices to save lives. Take care everyone. 04.01.2022 A guide for paddlers and Social Distancing: If you can reach someone with your paddle you're a bit too close. Help protect the vulnerable within the community and slow the spread of Covid-19 but definitely get out and keep paddling on your single crafts with your paddling family

01.01.2022 Some info for the ski paddlers: Ski paddling has been removed as an approved exercise and you can now be fined. The Premier has described exercise as ‘a walk r...ound the block or a bike ride to stretch your legs and get some fresh air’. Permitted exercise does not include recreational boating or fishing. Recreational boating includes all forms of human powered boating, including canoeing, kayaking, surf skiing, stand up paddle boarding and rowing, all forms of powered boating including jet skiing, and all forms of wind powered boating includes yachting, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Anyone who chooses to head out on the water is putting themselves and others at risk. For more info go to https://betterboating.vic.gov.au
