25.01.2022 TORQUAY AUSKICK IS BACK ON THIS SUNDAY!
24.01.2022 Hi Everyone just wanted to send out this reminder that Auskick will be starting this Sunday Morning. Due to Covid and Numbers we will be doing a staggered start so i would like to ask that all grade 1,2,3 children please arrive at 8:20 for an 8:30 start. Preps please arrive at 8:30 for an 8:35 start and kinders please arrive at 8:35 for 8:45 start. We have to do this staggered start this first week to go through the Covid process and try and spread the arrival and sign in ...of the kids out so we dont have big groups of kids and parents. All kids and parent helpers must sign in and sanitise prior to going out on the ground. Please make sure your kids are signed up online and registered as this will speed up the process and all kids can only take the ground if registered. A new rule we will have to enforce this year due to Covid is that no parents are allowed to go out on the ground unless they are nominated helpers or requested by one of the coaches to help out. All parents and siblings will have to remain behind the boundary fence and observe the 1.5 metre social distancing rules made easier by the little flags located on the fences or you can watch from the car. To assist on where you should go to watch we will let you know in the morning where each age group will be located out on the ground as I am still getting registrations every day and numbers in groups are changing. I must also ask that you be patient with us as this is a new experience for everyone and if we dont follow the rules we will be shutdown. Please remember we are all volunteers trying to do our best to get a program up and running in these challenging times. We want our kids to be able to be out there having fun and make it as positive an experience as possible for all. For those wanting the tigers auskick jumpers we will have them for sale on the day for $40 cash or we can do a bank transfer. For those wanting the bank transfer option please either contact me via email to pre-order or we will give you the details on the day. My son is wearing one below. The Coffee man will be there in the morning for those that need a coffee to get them going. One last request is that if your kids are sick please keep them home i know it will be hard but it is for the best. If you have any questions or concerns please call me our aim is to make it as easy as possible and to try and get 10 weeks in.
24.01.2022 To all helpers i have sent out an email to those i have details for inviting you to a zoom meeting tomorrow night if you did not receive an email invite please contact me with your email address and i will send it to you. If you have decided to help please feel free to contact me.

23.01.2022 HI Everyone I just wanted to give an update on Auskick in this current climate in case people hadnt seen the emails or the announcements by the AFL. Auskick is currently on hold and we are not able to take registrations or issue refunds until further decisions are made by the AFL. Currently we are aiming for a start date post the 31st May 2020 and I will update you all once we have dates set but we are still hoping to run Auskick in 2020. if you have any further questions please reach out, I am hoping to give some online directions for drills or games you can do with the kids in the coming weeks.
22.01.2022 Hi Everyone due to Covid restrictions I need all kids registered prior to Sunday as we have to take attendance for all kids before they can take the ground as we have to have contact details for all kids and parent helpers. Please make sure you have selected Torquay Auskick as your centre and payment has been made prior to Sunday morning. Further details about Sunday will be posted Thursday night as numbers are increasing daily and we may have to adjust start times for age groups etc. Please contact me if you have any issues with registering your child before sunday. We will still take registrations next week.
20.01.2022 We are going ahead as normal in the morning at 8:30 am but have changed the location of grades 1,2,3 to enter near goals near where you enter spring creek instead of the other wing. See you all in the morning!!!

18.01.2022 In preparing for a potential Auskick Start i would like to ask that any parents who would be interested in being an age group leader/supervisor or weekly helper to please reach out to me on my mobile or email as this will help me greatly in completing the planning of what is achievable. There will also be some roles that are less hands on more covid related process eg tracking attendance and covid officer so if that is more your thing please also reach out to me as it is goin...g to take a lot more effort and volunteers than a normal year to make this work. 13.01.2022 Hi Everyone it is with great regret that Auskick has been cancelled due to the Stage 3 restrictions. Everyone who is registered will be contacted by AFLAuskick via email shortly with what this means in regards to refunds or credits etc. Depending on how long the stage 3 lock down lasts will dictate if we can run a few sessions before cricket starts. I would like to run at least 1 more day so we can wrap up the year but will be guided by the government restrictions and grou...nd availability. I would like to thank all the Helpers and coaches that made our 3 great weeks possible and all the parents for taking the restrictions in their stride. Mostly I would like to thank the kids for coming along and having some fun in these trying times it was great to see their happy faces. I will post some more pics from the weekend shortly. Thanks again everyone for a great 3 weeks and hope to see you again before the year is over. Leon

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone we are currently working with the AFL on what is happening with Auskick and what that will look like for us in Torquay. I know there was an announcement on the news last night and posted online of a July 13 start date but we have a lot of issues to still work through with the AFL so the 13th is a goal that we may not be able to achieve under the current restrictions. It maybe a later start. Registrations are still not open on the Auskick website which will need to happen as well before we can start. I will update you as soon as i have something confirmed and trust me i get asked by my 5 year old everyday when is auskick starting so it is at the front of my mind.

01.01.2022 Only 10 more sleeps!!!!!!!! Looking for coaches and helpers !!!!!!!! This year more than any other we need some people willing to look after a small group of kids each week or help out as many weeks as possible. Covid means there are more restrictions on us and also more needs to be done each week than normal.... Unfortunately i have only had a few people put their hand up to look after an age group or coach a small group. So i am asking if anyone can help out to please let em know ASAP as it affect our plans and what auskick may have to look like. I will be arranging a get together of coaches and helpers this weekend to prepare for the following week as it is not far now until we start!!! Please call me if you can help out!!!
