14.01.2022 The Torquay Fire Brigade is please to announce that Santa is out of lockdown and ready for action on Christmas Eve. We are so excited the CFA have allow this tradition to go ahead, but unfortunately we have had to reduced stops and made the run earlier this year. We decided to choose stops with more open space to allow for social distancing as well as making more time at each stop to prevent overcrowding and try and give everyone a chance at saying hello to Santa and receive ...a lollipop. We hope to be able to bring back the full run next year. Please be patient and kind to others. Feel free to spread the word and end the year with happy smiling faces. Please like and follow Torquay Fire Bridge Facebook page for live updates during the event.

The support shown for our volunteers was overwhelming and we are plea...sed to announce how we are distributing $20.5m. Highlights include millions of dollars for brigade equipment, a new leadership and development program for volunteers, ten mobile community education vans and mobile tablets for online volunteer learning and training. 02.01.2022 Torquay Fire Brigade is having a busy night with multiple power pole sparking and fizzing. We have attended 8 separate calls and handed over to Powercor to handle. Majority of the call have been from salt build up from the strong easterly winds over the last few days. It is common for power poles to fizz and have small sparks at the top in the jan juc and torquay areas. If there is fire, explosions and down lines please call 000. VicEmergency app will provide details on local incident and there may be more outages tonight.
