16.01.2022 STAINLESS STEEL WEEP FLANGE Weep Flanges are used to stop water from running along the outside of HDPE pipe. Weep Flanges are fitted onto the outside of HDPE pipe with all thread, creating a seal between the pipe and the stainless steel band using rubber. 16.01.2022 Townsville Last week up in cane country Tim Harvey (Townsville Branch Manager) drove to Ingham to commission a 42.4 kW Diesel Pump set with a Grundfos NKG 125 x 80 x 400/365 ISO spec end suction pump to irrigate Sugar Cane. Previously the customer had been using PTO drive Southern Cross pumps powered by one of his tractors to irrigate using a significant amount of diesel per day. The new unit under operating conditions uses approximately 8 L/HR less than half of the tractor a...nd with a fuel tank large enough to last 14 hours as they normally irrigate between 6pm 6am when the wind is calm. The 30 Degree Slide can be fitted to the end of HDPE pipe as pipe through bank bay outlets. The sliding mechanism and rubber seal give the user control of water application over their irrigable area. Irrigators are able to control the amount of flow by opening the sliding mechanism to different heights which gives this outlet an advantage for users over a Lockdown Mechanism.
