19.01.2022 We had a fun rehearsal in the Tottenham Men's Shed yesterday, which included our new member Eddie playing the drum-kit. However, other issues, rather the occasional wrong note or rhythm, presented themselves.

14.01.2022 We are humbled to be playing for the ANZAC Day commemorations in Tottenham this year. We will play some ANZAC themed marches from 11am, as you QR into the Tottenham War Memorial Hall, and then the hymns and anthems for the service. 14.01.2022 Our conductor has signed up for the free trial of this online music teaching software from SmartMusic. We may even be Zooming a rehearsal soon too! As long as we remember to watch the conductor we should be fine..mostly.

13.01.2022 Social distancing rehearsals have commenced now in Tottenham. Keep your distance please.

13.01.2022 It was great to see most of the band for our first attempt at a Zoom Video Communications meeting/rehearals today. We had a lesson on how to use the SmartMusic software to help us keep practising.

13.01.2022 Today, the principal flautist of the Tottenham Town Band Betty Hunt turns 90!! Happy Birthday Betty from all of us, we love making music with you.

08.01.2022 We might try a silent rehearsal this week if we can't meet up as a group. Silent rehearsals are conducted using Zoom Video Communications conferencing and SmartMusic. In essence, these virtual rehearsals are supervised group practice. Each player in attendance is muted, so they are only able to hear their own performance, plus the teacher. Members rely on the SmartMusic accompaniment tracks to hear all parts of the piece the group is working on.

01.01.2022 Today we tried a silent Zoom rehearsal by playing along to the backing track from our conductor's computer. It isn't the best way to rehearse but at least we can still get together and play our instruments.
