25.01.2022 The first of the Yellow Mountain Enduro Series brought a good mix of sandy creek beds, flowing single trail and fast farm tracks making for great competition. Well done to all competitors and thank you everyone who helped make the two days run. The next of the Yellow Mountain Enduro Series will run on the 17th and 18th of July so come have some fun in Pony Express with a mate or take on the Ironman and have a chance to get a free ticket into Yellow Mountain Cross Country (7th and 8th of August)

23.01.2022 I was tagged in another accident involving a UTV with 10 teenagers in it that rolled. I’m unsure if people actually realise how many accidents happen without n...otice yet certain agendas can be focused on through media. They just flood the market with non stop stories always paved a certain way until it’s second nature. As stated in that post I believe we pretty much killed common sense when they started putting safety nets around trampolines. The edge is always the edge and everyone who puts themselves at risk need to understand things like; Training, Skill level, Natural Ability, Responsibility to others. Not everyone has the skill and mental ability to operate a helicopter so it goes without saying not everyone has the skill or mentality to be sensible on a quad bike or side by side. Humans have just been taught lately that if they hurt themselves they can always blame someone else for their stupidity and ignorance. They are ignorant because they believe nets on trampolines keep your kids safe instead of spending the time standing beside them teaching them how to do things without nets/ ride with skill/ make smart choices or have the heart to tell them that operating Machienary if they have the reflexes of a sloth probably isn’t their thing and should stay off them. 17.01.2022 Lachlan Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest in forming a committee with the aim of fostering a whole of Lachlan Shire identity and pride. Council... is currently undergoing a rebranding process and through discussions with Community leaders has identified the need to strengthen and enhance the Shire’s cohesion and identity. We face difficulty in this task due, in part, to the geography of the Shire, with at least 100kms separating the largest communities, with the common thread of local government being the only thing that links them together. Council would like to initiate an ongoing Lachlan Pride project with the aim of changing the way people see their place in the Shire and the Shire itself. As a starting point Council is seeking expressions of interest from people willing to be a part of the group to drive this ongoing project. 13.01.2022 Due to licencing issues and the ongoing change to Covid 19 restrictions, it is with great regret Tottenham Motorcycle Club and Condo Auto Sports have decided to cancel the upcoming double header Enduro. We look forward running our Enduros and Yellow Mountain Cross Country in 2021.

12.01.2022 FINKE 2021 Hi guys, I'm floating the idea of offering a transport option in our truck to Alice Springs this year to watch or race the Finke Desert race. The de...al would include freight from Newcastle to Alice Springs for a bike, gear, fuel drum and swag. Truck would arrive a few days before the race in time for a bit of pre running or adventure exploring (depending on bike and racing or not) and pickup from the airport. We would help with fuel deliveries for pre running, take gear to Finke for the overnight stay and offer any assistance we could including camping etc with us. We will have eskys, basic cooking, chairs and a marquee to hang out under. This offer / assistance is for people who are time poor but still want to experience the best offroad race in Australia whether as a racer or spectator or your own bike and flying in. The price will be between $500-$1000. If it interests you please let me know as it will be first come basis obviously pending successful entry. See more

12.01.2022 Unfortunately the committee have decided to cancel the 2020 Yellow Mountain Cross Country event due to the COVID-19 restrictions. However we are hoping to run... a Double Header Enduro on the same weekend, 1st and 2nd August which would run on two seperate tracks between Condo and Tottenham. 10.01.2022 SAVE THE QUAD BIKE IN AUSTRALIA PETITION Please sign this petition and share it if possible. https://www.change.org/SaveQuadbikes NEW Quad bikes will not be av...ailable in Australia after 20/10/21 due to a new ACCC legislation imposed. Due to the new legislation, ( F2019L01321 on the Federal Register of Legislation) meaning new Quad bikes will have to be sold with Rollover Protection, all major Quad Bike Distributors have withdrawn from the Australian market. Australia is only 2.8% of the Global market, so the other 97.2% of the global market does not have a problem with Quad bikes as they are sold from the factory. Incorrect statistics were used in coming to the decision to sign off on the legislation and professional global advice was not listened or adhered to, add to this the fact the people who were instrumental in the change of legislation had no idea what they were talking about. Farmers were never asked before this legislation was passed, so this will result in higher operating expenses for all Farming Businesses, along with decreased productivity and efficiency on all Farms that use Quad bikes. This can only make even slimmer margins of profit for the Man on the Land. Add to this the fact that Farmers may have to travel further to find a Motorcycle Dealer to service their requirements. Please sign this petition and share it if possible. https://www.change.org/SaveQuadbikes Honda alone have stated that 40 to 60 Rural Honda Motorcycle Dealers may have to close the doors as Quad bikes are in many cases at least 40% if not more of their turnover, and this is only the Honda Brand, Yamaha business statistics could well be similar. Add to this the mass unemployment within the 6 major brands plus several more reputable Asian brands. It is ironic that this whole debate started from a backyard Quadbar Operation that only had his best interests at heart. Please help us save more financial stress on farmers as well as preventing more rural agriculture support businesses closing the doors.
