25.01.2022 The doctrine of signatures, for those of you who havent heard of this before - check it out, its extremely interesting

25.01.2022 It blows my mind that this is the new craze. Most of us are terrified of injections, and associate them Ill health, yet here we are getting excited about injecting an already sugar filled dessert with basically a "pure sugar injection" this is not a dessert, it is a sugary mess that plays havoc in the body, please opt for better dessert and treat options

24.01.2022 Ive been getting some incredibly unbelievable results in my clinical practice. It blows me away to see how well the body responds to the correct treatment. If you have been considering a consultation, now is the time

24.01.2022 This is great for those of you who dont have a big backyard

23.01.2022 We are starting to learn and understand the negative affects sugar has in our system, but what about "sugar free" products? Our bodies dont recognise these chemicals - so our efficient body stores them. Artificial sweeteners play havoc in our system (probably more so than sugar) and are hidden in so many foods. Almost anything labeled "sugar free" will contain artificial sweeteners (unless stated otherwise) and almost every protein powder and pre trainer in a supplement shop will. Every time I pick up a packaged product, the FIRST time thing I check for is if it contains these nasty chemicals

22.01.2022 I will be in Wollongong from Thursday evening (the 7th of May) until Sunday afternoon (the 10th of May) if anyone in the region would like a consultation during that time please contact me. Consultations are health fund rebatable.

22.01.2022 Do you enjoy the taste of coffee, but know you need to reduce your intake? Dandelion root tea is similar in taste, it is bitter and aromatic, however it is caffeine free. Dandelion root stimulates digestion and works on liver detoxification (studies have shown 1 cup of dandelion root a day can protect the liver from damage and disease). It is a diuretic & a laxative (therefor can assist with constipation, make sure you are hydrated though!) i blended mine (once brewed) with a tablespoon of coconut oil, this made it creamy and delicious, however you can have it with milk or just black. You can buy dandelion root tea from your local health food store

21.01.2022 These vege biscuits I created these when I refused to buy them for around $13/packet (they cost about a quater of the price to make). My baby LOVES them, my husband loves them, even my husbands tradesmen friends like them (and that is saying something). Whats best is that they are absolutely packed with veggies so if its all my child will eat that day I still know he is getting his daily vege intake. They are also easily adaptable and you can throw in basically whatever... vege you have in the fridge (I mix it up every time I make them). I also add lots of spices, garlic and onion to support the immune system (and add flavour!) 3 large carrots 3 large zucchinis 100gm baby spinach 1 onion 3 cloves garlic 1/4 cup buckwheat flour 1/4 cup flaxseed/linseed meal 1/4 cup dedicated coconut 1/4 cup coconut oil 2 teaspoons sea salt 2 teaspoons ground turmeric 1 teaspoon ground ginger 2 teaspoons ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground cumin in batches, place roughly chopped vege into a food processor and process until the veggies are well chopped or form a paste once all vege is chopped (including garlic and onion) place everything into a large bowl and mix well smooth the mixture onto 2 large, lined baking trays and using a knife cut the wet mixture into whatever size you want the biscuits to be (it is easier doing it now before they are hard) dehydrate on ovens lowest possible setting for around 10-24 hours (or in a dehydrator) They are super delicious to eat plain, or with avo and cheese You can play around with this recipe with whatever spices and veggies you want! You can even make them sweet by adding some apple or pear!

20.01.2022 What a great winter recipe!

20.01.2022 One of the most delicious, affordable, nutrient dense and easy meals to prepare! - scrub and bake a whole sweet potato/s on 180 degrees for roughly 90 minutes - cook up (or defrost) spaghetti bog mince (throw in lots of diced celery, zucchini and carrot) - once sweet potato is cooked, cut it longways and fill with mustard, spinach/rocket, homemade tomato chutney and mince, then finish with a small amount of cheese, sesame seeds and sauerkraut ... This is our "go to meal" as it really is super simple (and even easier if you bulk make and freeze the mince!)

19.01.2022 While Tallow is a great eater, he has just entered this whole new phase of "Ill only eat it if I can feed myself" which is challenging me to be more creative with healthy finger foods. So here we are - a paleo, green wrap/naan/tortilla loaded with spinach and garlic and inspired by Lola Berrys paleo torillas. They are perfect for him to eat as a snack, or for us adults to accompany a warm curry, or as a lunch wrap staple. - 1 cup tapioca... - 5 tablespoons coconut flour - 3 eggs - 1 tin coconut cream - 1 teaspoon salt - 200gm baby spinach - 2-3 cloves garlic Blend it all in a high powered food processor until it is a smooth batter, then cook in coconut oil in a shallow frypan YUM!

19.01.2022 Some great tips on keeping your immune system boosted this winter!

19.01.2022 If you want to get into fermenting, but it seems a bit daunting, this is a perfect place to start! You dont need a culture to make ginger bug and it is a great replacement for soft drink, or even alcohol. Ginger bug is super easy to make!

19.01.2022 Busy in the kitchen on a rainy day! This super yummy coconut lime slice is amazing and so easy. They are gluten free, dairy free, Paleo and great if your on a budget. Coconut lime slice (inspired by Lola Berrys happy cookbook) - 1 cup shredded coconut - 2 tablespoons coconut flour... - 1/3 cup almond meal - 3 eggs - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1 teaspoon vanilla powder - juice of 3 limes (and zest of 1) - 4 tablespoons coconut oil - 1/4 cup maple syrup - pinch salt Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tin Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and bake for around 20 minutes Allow to cool before cutting Serve with fresh cream! Yum!

19.01.2022 My version of bangas and mash! Eumundi meats organic sausages (the best!), a bone broth caramelised onion gravy, and a vegetable mash! Vege mash is a staple in our household! Usually I will make a sweet potato and pumpkin mash as a base, and steam lots of broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, carrot and spinach then blend it all together with some macadamias and savoury yeast flakes to increase the nutrient and fat content - YUM!

18.01.2022 Sunday afternoon baking

18.01.2022 I have met a lot people who suffer from insomnia, anxiety and depression. When I ask them questions I find that most of the time "monkey mind" can be the biggest contributor. Learning to let go to thoughts is extremely hard - but once you do its amazing how differently your brain functions, and how easy it becomes to not get stuck thinking about and overanalysing thoughts and situations. This is a great way to start!

18.01.2022 I love this. Most people on a weight loss journey believe fat is the enemy, in fact, it is sugar + processed + artificial foods and emotional eating that are the real issue (and of corse, the possibility of an under active thyroid). I would highly recommend purchasing Lola Berrys happy cookbook, there are some great, easy and nutritious whole food recipes that are fun and family friendly

18.01.2022 This recipe looks easy and delicious!

18.01.2022 This is beautiful

16.01.2022 This looks awesome!

13.01.2022 I cannot stress enough to you all how important the quality of the supplements you take is. A lot of people opt for supermarket brands of herbal and nutritional supplements, a lot of the time the herbs arent tested, are full of fillers and probably wont work. If you want a product that will work, see a qualified healthcare practitioner that can prescribe you practitioner only products, the products we use are of extremely high quality and full of therapeutic ingredients - in fact I will only use products that are regulated and batch tested.

12.01.2022 There is nothing better than going to cinemas and chilling out with a big bucket of popcorn, unfortunately, cinema popcorn is full of crap. Next time you go to the cinemas take your own home made popcorn, otherwise COBBS is a great brand to opt for.

12.01.2022 Raw superfood brownies This recipe is so easy and only takes 10-15 minutes to make. Whats better? Its packed with antioxidants, nutrients and good fats to assist with hormone production, cell membranes strength & support, nourishing the nervous system and carrying those fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. It is also free from refined sugar, and only contains a small amount of dates Ingredients (all organic)... - 1 cup cashews - 1 cup sunflower seeds - 1 cup shredded coconut - 1/2 cup sesame seeds - 1/2 cup hemp seeds (optional) - 1/2 cup cacao powder - 1 1/2 cups dates (soaked in hot water for 5 minutes) - 1/2 cup coconut oil - handful Goji berries - 100g good quality (I use loving earth) raw chocolate In a food processor, process cashews and sunflower seeds until they are a crumbly flour consistency. Place the processed sunflower seeds and cashews into a large bowl ad add coconut, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, cacao and goji berries In the food processor, place the moist dates and coconut oil and blend until a paste like consistency. Mix this in with other ingredients, it may take a few minutes to properly combine. Press mixture into a baking tray (lined with baking paper - this will help to get it out) and sprinkle a handful of goji berries and coconut on top. Melt chocolate (careful not to burn!), and drizzle over the goji berries and coconut, then refrigerate for an hour before cutting.

12.01.2022 A warm lunch for a cool (but warm) day - red wine beef cheeks! Beef cheeks are typically a cheap cut of meat, they are however amazingly tender and flavoursome when cooked for a long period of time (thank you slow cooker!) They are also extremely nutrient dense, loaded with collagen which is great for the health of your gut, skin and connective tissue. Beef cheeks actually contain so much collagen that the next day the liquid (when refrigerated) actually turns to jelly!... Into the slow cooker: - 1kg of beef cheeks (fat trimmed off) - 2 cloves of minced garlic - 1 large diced onion - diced veggies of choice (mushrooms, eggplant, carrot, sweet potato all go well, throwing in some spinach/kale in the last hour is also great) - 1 cup broth/stock of choice - 1 cup red wine - mixed herbs - salt Cook for 6-8 hours on low, best served with mashed sweet potato.

11.01.2022 Read up! Bone broth is so nourishing and perfect for the winter months.

11.01.2022 Eggs are one of my favourite foods, they have had a bad wrap as they contain cholesterol & fat (recent studies prove cholesterol is not the enemy). Eggs provide us with high quality protein and fat soluble vitamins A & D, they are an excellent source of EPA and DHA (which play a vital role for the nervous system, cell integrity & development of infants as well as reducing inflammation). Egg yolks are extremely concentrated in Choline (a B vitamin found in lecithin) that is necessary for keeping the cholesterol moving in the blood stream as well as assisting with liver health & detoxification. They are delicious, nutritious, quick and easy & are a perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

11.01.2022 Warm and delicious pumpkin pie porridge for my one year old. Loaded with pumpkin, coconut cream, almond meal, oats, coconut, and spices. Every time I create a meal for my little one I try to ensure that it is fresh, well balanced (carbohydrates, fats and protein) and nutrient dense. Did you know that cinnamon is fantastic to regulate blood sugar levels and is a circulatory stimulant? Perfect for these cooler days to get that blood flowing, and perfect to add to any sweet treats to help avoid those nasty blood sugar spikes

07.01.2022 Yum! This isnt vegan or dairy free, but it is "clean" and looks so amazing

06.01.2022 A great article on the dangers of aspartame. Especially If you drink or eat anything labeled "sugar free" .

06.01.2022 Coconut oil has been demonised for a long time, but here are the facts! This is a great read

05.01.2022 There are lots of fantastic alternatives for soft drink - herbal tea, soda water, kombucha, kefir, water or super smoothies just to name a few. Here is a great run down on why you should avoid soft drinks

04.01.2022 Guess what the key ingredient of these amazing super healthy brownies is? Sweet potato! Yep - they are vegetable based and super delicious!

04.01.2022 I have been in the kitchen creating and have come up with these amazing little gems! I have managed to give "normal" panna cotta a make over to make them as healthy as possible. Panna cotta is traditionally made on processed , cream, milk and caster sugar. However, I have made these on milk kefir, yoghurt and organic milk. They are extremely healthy and full of probiotics, collagen and essential nutrients. Kefir vanilla berry panna cotta Ingredients:... - 2 cups of plain home made milk kefir OR full fat organic milk if you dont have the time - 1 cup full fat organic yoghurt - 1 cup full fat organic milk (or extra milk if your not using kefir) - 2 tablespoons organic unflavoured gelatine powder (you can purchase from health food store) - 1 teaspoon vanilla powder (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract) - 3 heaped tablespoons coconut sugar In a bowl, place 1/2 cup of milk and sprinkle gelatine powder over the top to soften for 5 minutes, then stir to dissolve In a saucepan, heat the other 1/2 cup of milk and add coconut sugar, stir until dissolved. Take off heat, add gelatine mix and whisk In a separate bowl, whisk together yoghurt, milk kefir and vanilla bean. You can then add the gelatine milk mix and whisk well Pour the mix into moulds, or any kind of dish (once the panna cotta had set, you can cut it like a slice) and put in fridge to set Berry jelly: - 1 1/2 cups of defrosted frozen berries (I used organic frozen raspberries and blueberries) - juice of 1 lemon - 1 tablespoon coconut sugar - 1 heaped tablespoon gelatine - 1/2 cup warm water Place water in a bowl and sprinkle gelatine over the top to soften - then stir until dissolved In a blender or food processor, place all ingredients including gelatine and blend for 30 seconds. Get your pana cotta base out of the fridge (by now it should be set enough to handle the weight of the berry jelly without it becoming a mess) Pour the berry jelly mix on top Let the panna cot set for at least 2 hours in the fridge Enjoy!

03.01.2022 We are coming into stone fruit season and these are at the top of my baking list... As soon as I can get my hot little hands on some organic cherries!

03.01.2022 Does your family get sick throughout winter? This is a great value package to keep those immune systems high and prevent illness throughout those colder months! It even includes 2 products. Dont miss out! Book your appointment today

03.01.2022 While Tallow is a great eater, he has just entered this whole new phase of "I'll only eat it if I can feed myself" which is challenging me to be more creative with healthy finger foods. 02.01.2022 Well Ive done it, Ive recreated one of my favourite dishes with a healthy make over - Apple crumble! And let me tell you, it is pretty amazing. Paleo Apple crumble - 5-6 Granny Smith apples - 4 tablespoons coconut oil... - 2 teaspoons vanilla powder (or extract) - 1 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg - 1 teaspoon ground ginger - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1 cup activated and crushed (by hand) pecans - 1/2 cup almond meal - 2 tablespoons coconut sugar Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Peel, chop and steam apples until soft (around 10 minutes) In a medium sized baking dish, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil In a separate bowl, mix all other ingredients together to form a crumble When apples are soft (but not mooshy) place them in the baking dish and coat with oil and vanilla, press the apple mixture down and spread the crumble mixture on top Bake for 10 minutes and serve warm

01.01.2022 Eggs, in my eyes are one of the most nourishing perfect food!
