17.01.2022 So after 16 months on the road, we think we have found our slice of paradise and late this week become home owners in the suburb of Bargara, QLD. We don't have any boring stats from our trip. We've no idea how much it cost or how many nights we spent at caravan parks versus free camps etc etc. ... What we do know is our greatest expenses were alcohol and petrol (and a new engine along the way). We also once again had the time of our lives and this time around Jay was with us to make it even more memorable.. Having spent 12 months travelling around Oz 6 years ago and having plenty of photos, it became important for us to do another lap around this sunburnt country with Jay in tow, so he to could feature in the family photos travelling Oz (As it turns out, he refuses to get in photos and it would have been cheaper for us to photoshop him into the photos from 6 years ago ). We have made so many friends along the way that we can't mention you all in one post but you guys have made this trip spectacular and the life long friiendships that were born sometimes from only a few nights together on the VB's is what makes this country the best in the world We invite everyone to hit us up, come stay for a night or 7 on our lawn and continue the legacy. So as this chapter of travel draws to a close, we can't help but feel excited at the opportunity ahead. We will be renovating property up this way as a full time venture (stay tuned - Facebook page to follow). If you are ever thinking of doing a similar lap, our advice is that of legendary former Hawthorn Premiership Coach, John Kennedey ~ Don't Think, Do!!
