24.01.2022 #BREAKING: Tasmania will keep its border open to travellers from New South Wales for now, with the exception of the Sydney Northern Beaches council area and sev...eral other high risk hot spots in Kirribilli, Peakhurst and Penrith. Tasmanians returning from those areas will need to prove residency and apply through the G2G app, and will be quarantined on arrival and required to take a covid test within 48 hours. They can quarantine at home if their residence is suitable, otherwise in a State Government hotel. Entry to the state from low risk areas of NSW will still be allowed for now. NSW has recorded 10 new coronavirus cases today linked to the Northern Beaches cluster, taking the total to 28 cases linked to the Northern Beaches cluster in Sydney, including a person who travelled to Queensland and then returned to New South Wales.
