23.01.2022 At our TourXOz Hunter Valley event this year, the 90K gravel loop was the favourite choice for most riders. The gravel loop, starting in Wollombi challenged the riders through a hilly landscape with a 7k climb to test even the most experienced mountain bikers. Recent rain had left enough puddles to get riders muddy, which was washed away by a heavy downpour just before the finish. Part 2: the 90K Gravel loop

22.01.2022 And there was more that day in the Hunter Valley. The stunning nature, the chats, the breaks, the vino-stop, the puddles, the rain, the hill climbs, and above all comradery. Part 3: Hunter Valley ride in a nutshell

20.01.2022 This short documentary captures the TourXOz 2019 ride from Cairns to Cape York. A group of cyclists venture to the Tip of Australia in support of mental health. Raising funds for the Black Dog Institute, reaching out to local communities in far north Queensland, whilst being challenged physically and mentally during a one week period. New and deep friendships were developed.

13.01.2022 It’s been a light week on the bike, spent tapering for the virtual Revolve24 race (vR24) that starts at 7pm (Sydney time) on Saturday and in which I will race t...he solo 24-hour category. But I had a great wind up to my preparation, riding in the 2020 TourXOz in the Hunter Valley wine region of NSW last Friday before cycling home to Sydney on Saturday. The TourXOz aims to raise awareness and funds to help mental well-being. Due to COVID-19, it was restricted to a one day event against the tours of past years. But it was still a terrific way to keep up the momentum of this important work. It was also great to catch up with the friends I made in last year’s TourXOz from Cairns to Cape York on mountain bike, and meet others who have ridden past editions. The messages and memories will provide plenty of inspiration for this weekend’s vR24. Thanks as always to my sponsors: Trek Bicycle, Lets Go Motorhomes, Wagner Roofing Company, prism.bike, BikeExchange, Shimano-Road, Koda Nutrition, Revolve24, Albion Cycles, Crossing the Line Sport, Rudy Project Australia, Marko Baloh ultra-cyclist, TourXOz, Tony Kiss, Easts Cycling Club, Entoure by me, edited by Sally Heginbotham

10.01.2022 Big day for Rupert Guinness at #powerofthepedal. He battled through injuries and reached an iconic and sacred Australian landmark. Michael Tomalaris was with him all the way.

09.01.2022 Marcos Nino-Ruiz unfortunately could not cross the border into NSW to join us in the Hunter. Instead, Marcos set out his own 100km course in Melbourne and raised funds for the Black Dog Institute. I really hoped to be there and say hello to all of you "mountain biking legends", my first TourXOz 1 year ago touched me on so many levels! I sure hope this time will pass and the next year will be able to ride side by side with all of you! Part 5: The connections

05.01.2022 The grins, smirks, smiles and laughter. This Friday 13th was a day for reconnecting and exercise your mood. Part 4: The smiles
