24.01.2022 Thanks Garbutt community centre for providing the kitchen for the next facilitator training session. Two of their staff are being trained and there is space for 3 others to be trained from other community organisations.

21.01.2022 Date night cooking club Rollingstone and District Community Association. This was a trial run. Thanks Gaye, Bernice and Monica for your hospitality. The chicken noodle stir fry was delicious. We are looking for more local members for the monthly get together. It is the third Thursday of the month, 5pm till whenever!. Next ones are 20th June 5pm and July 18th 5pm. We plan our recipes the month before and take turns shopping for ingredients and then prepare the meal and eat it together. It usually turns out about $5 each for ingredients. Comment below if you live in the Rollingstone and surrounds area and would like to join the cooking club and Gaye will get in touch with you. We are also looking at setting up Kids cooking clubs, meal prep cooking clubs etc so comment below if you are interested.

16.01.2022 We had a great night and plenty of discussions on how to get Townsville Community Kitchens up and running. Thanks to student dietitians Alyssa and Sheridan for running an excellent forum. We are on again tomorrow night at Wulguru Community Centre. See you then!

16.01.2022 Free Facilitator training run by Active Nutrition - Vivienne Salu Dietitian for Rollingstone Seniors Community Kitchen today. We had a great day and they will have their first community cooking session next month. Can't wait for the official launch!
