17.01.2022 Racism!!? Lived through its ugliness, suffered its hidden jaws, bled with its invisible dagger in my back, but never complained or not even judged people for being racist. But one day, one day it has to end. Not for my benefit, but for billions of others. Thanks to Erfan Daliri for his timely course:

10.01.2022 Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you have all enjoyed your week so far and were able to check out the amazing Giant Kookaburra Car Convey that happened over the weekend. We wanted to share an amazing act of kindness that started back in 2015 with the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Toy Drive. They have alone in 2019 distributed over 18,000 toys worldwide to children who otherwise would go without. Please if you are able to make a donation to them it would be so greatly appreciated.

09.01.2022 A great free zoom presentation about racism by Erfan Daliri and sponsored by Multicultural Australia.

04.01.2022 Townsville Intercultural Centre have been enjoying the easing of restrictions within Queensland over the past few weeks and have begun seeing clients in the office once again through booked appointments. The office has a two client limit within the office and hand sanitizer readily available to continue protecting every member of the community who visits us.

04.01.2022 The Giant Kookaburra is taking flight again! After its recent 5000km journey across the Queensland coast, our friend the Kookaburra is in great demand. The Central Highlands have asked us to visit for Mental Health Week (10-19 October), and on the way there and back we’d love to see as many of you as possible. This is a post-Covid19 lockdowns mission to help shift Queenslanders from sadness to laughter again. We are hoping to visit nursing homes, schools and community groups... in the following regional areas, including surrounding towns: Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Childers, Maryborough, Bundaberg, Gladstone and Rockhampton. We are asking a fee for service this trip, to help us bring our positive mental health message to as many people as possible. For more details please message us. You may also email us: [email protected] And in the meantime, check us out on YouTube at this link. See more

01.01.2022 The Townsville Cultural Fest Carnival Convoy is getting ready to get behind the Giant Kookaburra on Saturday 22 August. The Carnival Convoy will pass through many streets of Townsville from Kelso to Bushland Beach and from Willows to the Strand. We welcome specific suggestions to visit particular locations particularly from groups having members with disability and age care facilities.... Everyone should make efforts to get to their closest location that we will pass through. There will be plenty of options. The road map will be published in the next few days. Stay tuned.
