17.01.2022 After a dismal effort, the staff at Townsville Periodontics were only able to find about a quarter of the eggs expertly hidden by Dr. Crasta. Our practice will be closed for appointments between Saturday 20th Apr and Sunday 28th Apr. However, our reception will be staffed on non-public holiday dates. We would like to wish all our patients as well as our referring practices and their staff a relaxing and refreshing Easter break.

14.01.2022 Our tireless dental assistant, Kirstyn, has been wearing a groove going back and forth to the military evacuation centre over the past 2 days collecting and donating everything from sheets, towels, toiletries and, yes, even toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste. We're proud of you Kirstyn.

12.01.2022 The Easter bunny made his annual visit to our practice last night. As our practice was closed for patient appointments due to current COVID-19 restrictions, our staff wasted no time morphing into 3 mini-tornadoes, tearing trough the practice rooms and tracking down (nearly) all of his bounty. Happy Easter to all.

11.01.2022 AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT We wish to advise all our beloved patients and dental colleagues that as of today we are temporarily closing our practice. This decision has not been taken lightly and is entirely due to the need to protect all our patients from potentially acquiring the COVID-19 virus. As a Periodontics practice we have a disproportionate number of older and medically compromised patients and it is imperative that we do not compromise their health or their lives as ...a consequence of their attendance at our practice. We are also following expert recommendations from ANZAP (Australian and New Zealand Association of Periodontists). We apologise profoundly for any small or large inconvenience this will have caused you. If you are a patient and have an upcoming appointment with us then we shall be contacting you within the next few days to make alternative arrangements. 08.01.2022 To all of our patients and referring practices - we shall be reopening our practice on Mon 26 Apr 2020 as the Government has eased restrictions on permissible dental treatment. Whilst this means that we can perform some procedures it also means that we still cannot perform others. If you have an upcoming appointment or if you have had your appointment recently cancelled by us, our staff will be in touch with you if your dental treatment can be performed safely within the curr...ent guidelines. Alternatively, please contact our practice on 07 4728 2332 and our staff would be happy to discuss the specifics of your treatment with you. Of course, if you have any reservations about proceeding with any treatment then your wishes will be respected. Your safety is our primary concern. If you do proceed with any treatment then please be aware that we will be taking several additional precautions in addition to our already stringent infection control procedures. Please note though that the current restrictions may change again in the future which may mean that we may have to once again reschedule appointments.
