20.01.2022 TOM PRICE SES VOLUNTEER RECIEVES PETER KEILLOR AWARD A Tom Price SES volunteer received the Peter Keillor Award, last night at the State Emergency Service (SE...S) Awards ceremony in Perth. Tom Price SES Rescue Team Leader Simon Davidson received one of the highest individual state Honours for his ability to handle challenging situations and outstanding leadership. Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner Darren Klemm said that the awards reflect the gratitude of SES and other volunteers who dedicate their time to making communities safer. Over the past 12 months, SES volunteers have attended more than 750 incidents, spending roughly 23,000 hours helping communities across the State prepare and respond to cyclones, storms, land rescues, and other emergency situations. As Rescue Team Leader, Simon has has led teams through unique a...nd technical operations, from rescues in deep Pilbara gorges to extensive land searches in temperatures exceeding 45 degrees. His passion and leadership extends beyond the unit itself Simon frequently facilitates weekly training for SES cadets and plays a pivotal role in the cadet camp and other activities throughout the year. Well done Simon!

18.01.2022 Congratulations to our very own Simon Davidson on being a Finalist for the Peter Keillor Award in this years SES Awards. Congratulations also to our friend and colleague Kasey Steer from Exmouth SES as a finalist for the Youth Achievement Award SES Award Finalists... The 2019 State Emergency Service (SES) award finalists have been announced and the nominees highlight the outstanding contribution SES volunteers make to the community. This years finalists have been selected for going above and beyond the call of duty, demonstrating a high level of dedication to the service. This year a large number of nominations were received for the prestigious individual Peter Keillor Award, which is presented to an outstanding SES volunteer who has been nominated by his or her peers for their excellence, achievement and enthusiasm. The number of nominees reflects the outstanding calibre of volunteers across the SES, with this once again being a tough year to select finalists. The 2019 SES Awards winners will be announced at the 2019 at the Western Australian Fire and Emergency Services Conference. The finalists (in alphabetical order) are listed below. 13.01.2022 If you saw the Tom Price SES driving around town last night, no need to worry... we were out training in basic navigation (compass) and two way radio communication skills. Both key competencies for land search (and many other) operations. Come down to SES training at 492 Coolibah Street. Thursday Nights 19:00pm - 21:00pm

08.01.2022 SES volunteers took their vertical rescue skills to new heights recently, with a complex vertical rescue training course held in the beautiful but dangerous Kar...ijini National Park.
