05.01.2022 If you have a history of trauma particularly if the trauma is multi-layered and has occurred over extended periods of time -- your first responsibility is to ...create safe spaces for yourself within which you can live, breathe, love, create, play and grow. This doesnt mean that you live a bland, boring or walled-off life. Safety doesnt preclude adventure, exploration, growth, creativity or discovery -- quite the contrary. Life presents plenty of opportunities to face challenges and develop strength and resiliency without choosing to walk into that which re-traumatizes you. Your first commitment is to your own well-being, and to the sacredness of your incarnation. If someone or something triggers old traumas within you, or adds fresh traumas to those which youve already experienced, remove yourself from the situation first. Use your skills, tools and practices to restore equilibrium to your heart, body, and central nervous system. Once youve recalibrated your inner ecology, you can make clear, creative choices about how or if you want to engage with that person or situation.

03.01.2022 Christmas has the incredible ability to turn perfectly sane adults back into insecure, over reacting, tantrum throwing children. While most of us have managed to navigate the complexities of adulting, it is so frustrating to continue to be affected by emotions and triggers from our childhood. Sometimes its the fear of having to spend time with people that make you feel insecure, they still see you as a child. Other times its the fear of judgement - are you still in that jo...b, youve put on weight, dont you have a partner yet etc. Because these people probably did the same thing to us in some way when we were emotionally more vulnerable and younger, there is a strong emotional trigger there that sends us back to that age and blocks the logical part of the brain from responding. The old response pattern returns and we are back to acting or thinking like children again. Insecurities we had as a child also get magnified at this time for some reason. Weve all heard the sulking like, she always gets her way, mum always makes his favourite food, why do they get the best room, they always get out of cleaning up...... All again from perfectly sane adults. Kinesiology is great for identifying triggers and releasing old response patterns and beliefs. It gives us emotional stability and confidence to enjoy Christmas with our families without the stresses that have plagued the past.
