24.01.2022 1/11/19. Cruise on P&O Aria. What can I say, I love a good cruise. I know there are the haters out there but they truly are a great way to holiday. They offer a lot to do or little to do, depending on what you are looking for. They are well priced, especially when they are having their great sales. The food is good and once you are on board if you dont want to spend another cent then you dont have to. Of course you have to pay for your drinks, souvenirs and some activities. There are shows, shops, pools, bars, restaurants, casino, movie theatre and much more. 24.01.2022 26/10/19. Swell Resort Burleigh Heads. Looking for somewhere to stay in Burleigh Heads, try Swell Resort. It is close to everything you need, shops, surf, public transport, bowls club, surf club and plenty of coffee shops. They offer 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments at reasonable prices which drop in price the longer you stay. 24.01.2022 7/12/19. Dinner @ Three Blue Ducks, W Hotel, North Quay. Wow wow wow, I have no other words. The food is just to die for. You cant beat a coffee, juice, toast, 2 eggs, heaps of bacon and 3 hash browns for only $12.90. 20.01.2022 30/5/20. Brunch at Laneway on Flinders, Maroochydore. What a great find this cafe is. From 3pm to 7pm on weekends the bar is open. Step in for a wine or 2, a light meal or entertainment. The rest of the weekend and week days you can enjoy good food and great coffee. Recently taken over by long time locals, Kerri and Tim Abbott who can cater for any occasion, you will find their friendly cafe a great place to relax and unwind. 19.01.2022 15/11/19. Movie Time - LAST CHRISTMAS. What a great movie with a great cast. Whilst in my opinion nothing will ever be compared to Love Actually, this is definitely one of the best Christmas movies I have seen in a while. Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson are very funny. Based on true events this movie tells the story of a soldier fighting his way to enemy lines to get a message to a troop of 1600 soldiers to stop them from dying. 18.01.2022 4/7/20. A night @ Novotel Southbank Brisbane. Novotel is part of the Accor chain and this particular Novotel is in the perfect spot. A very short stroll to the trendy West End area or to Southbank or walk over the bridge into the city. So much to see and do, even hire a Segway at West End to see the sights of Southbank. The staff were extremely helpful, great views and some really good specials on offer with your Accor card. 17.01.2022 27/1/20.BLUE ROOM CINEBAR, Rosalie. Today I was introduced to the Blue Room @ Rosalie to see a movie. What a great place. Five little cinemas that seat no more than 50 people at a time. Soft comfortable seating with cushions and you can grab yourself a foot stool and get comfy. There is plenty of food and alcoholic beverages to choose from on the menu and the food is scrumptious and all served to you while watching the movie but at affordable prices. The tickets are also well priced for the service that you are receiving, only $16.50 per ticket or $10 before 6pm Monday to Friday. And you can join on line for free and every sixth movie is free. It also has 2 bars and a small eating area with plenty of dining to choose from within the precinct of the cinema. Highly recommend it. #blueroomcinebar #quaintcinema #greatfood #movieheaven

16.01.2022 6/11/19. Chefs Table, P&O Aria. If you go on a cruise I highly recommend you experience the Chefs Table, it is truly a great experience. The cost is $119 per person with only 16 people at a sitting. For the cost you receive appetisers followed by a 7 course meal with each meal paired with wine where your glass is continuously filled, a photo of your group, a beautiful cook book and a tour of the galley and impeccable service by 2 amazing waiters who also keep you entertained and a meet and greet with the maitre de, sous chef and other significant chefs that work on the ship. 15.01.2022 Movie Time - LITTLE WOMEN. What a wonderful movie and even knowing the story and having read the book, I still had a tear in my eye. This is about the 14th adaption of the book but after countless, movies, plays and even a couple of mini series, this is the best version I have seen. Thoroughly enjoyed it and in my opinion, Saoirse Ronan as Jo, steals the show. My rating 4 out of 5. #littlewomen #jostealstheshow #girlpower

13.01.2022 22/9/19. Oz Comic Con, Brisbane Convention Centre. I have never been to Oz Comic Con. Would I go again next year, yes I would. I had a good time. For those who are right into this event, it was just fantastic to see the effort they put in to their costumes. 12.01.2022 16/11/19. Movie time - GREASE SING A LONG. What a great night, what a great idea. The movie was sold out with most people setting up their chairs in front of their cars and all singing along to one of the all time classic movies. Who can believe Grease has been around for 41 years. It was so good to see people there that were not even born when it was released, just singing along and having a great time. 11.01.2022 29/11/19. Rydges Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills. I love this place for a nights stay and highly recommend it if you are attending a show at the Tivoli and do not want to drive. Only one block from the Tivoli and right on King Street with lots of eateries. If you get the chance visit Government House this year to see the Christmas lights and for the first time they have opened the house up to see the Christmas tree. This is a free event held from 13/12 to 20/12 from 7pm to 8pm. It only takes about 30 minutes to see it all and is truly lovely. 11.01.2022 7/12/19. Mercure Brisbane, North Quay. Mercure Brisbane is part of the Accor group so if you are a member you will get a great discount. It is the perfect place to stay if you are doing something around the North Quay area and look at that view. 10.01.2022 13/11/19. Chicks at the Flicks Springfield. CHARLIES ANGELS. I must admit I thought this movie was going to be a little lame however while it was extremely far fetched, it kept me entertained and I did find myself enjoying it. It is a little different to the past Charlies Angels movies. Look out for a very very quick cameo appearance at the end by Jacqueline Smith and Rhonda Rousey. 10.01.2022 29/11/19. Dinner at Six Acres, Bowen Hills. To be honest Im not a fan, the food was ok, definitely not fantastic and quite expensive for what we had. Some of the staff were tentative and helpful and some were not. I have also had brekkie here in the past and it was cold so I definitely will not be returning. 10.01.2022 18/7/20. A night @ Ibis Styles Brisbane. Ibis is also part of the Accor family. This particular accomodation is in Elizabeth Street, central to literally everything. The rooms are tiny but very clean and well designed with everything you need for an overnight stay. With your Accor card you can usually pick up a room for the night from between $85 to $95 with discounted parking next door at the myer centre for $15. They also have their own restaurant called The Social. We did ...not have dinner there but we did have brekkie and to be honest, if we did not have the Accor card giving us the 50% discount, it is not worth the money in my opinion all though the coffee was very good. It is located at the end of the wharf where the cruise ships are docked, with a busy lively atmosphere. 08.01.2022 19/6/20 Dinner @ THAI MALILA, Augustine Heights. Once again Thai MALILA did not disappoint in the fantastic food department. It was delicious and flavoursome as usual, however I am going to comment on the service. I understand that these are different times while we are experiencing the effects of covid but Thai MALILA need an extra staff member on during busy times and need to prioritise. You only have 1 hour and 40 minutes to sit, order, eat and pay and when there is 10 of you, thats not a lot of time but if its done right, it will be fine. If your reservation is for 7pm and another party is 7.15pm, dont take their order first before the 7pm party. This shortens your eating time and you dont want to rush the food experience. The restaurant itself has that country warmth appeal and the staff are always friendly, helpful and polite. Its not a cheap meal but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. 05.01.2022 18/7/20. Dinner @ the Port Office Hotel. Gone are the disco days at the POH. Now we have a very classy upmarket restaurant instead. The food was quite expensive but as the saying goes, you pay for what you get and we received fantastic food - mouth watering , crispy chips, crunchy fresh vegetables and delicious dessert. 03.01.2022 23/5/20. Brekkie @ Rofl Wafl, Carseldine. Well what can I say. I was truly excited to be actually going out for a proper meal since the start of covid decided to enter our lives. The Rofl Wafl is currently open on weekends only and you must book. It offers a great range for brekkie at fantastic prices, the coffee is good and the food is delicious. You do have to sit outside (undercover) so it is a little chilly so rug up. At present the menu is a little limited due to covid and you cannot have a buffet brekkie but it was still good and the staff and service is exceptional. 02.01.2022 17/1/20. Movie Time: BOMBSHELL. I was not a fan of this movie at all and cant see what all the hype was about. This is the true story of the demise of Roger Ailes, the head honcho of FOX and the sexual harassment charges laid before him by women of the industry. Im all for the actual real story and Rogers demise as it was deserved but the movie itself just lacked something and to be honest, was boring. The movie does have a stellar cast but even they couldnt keep my interest. If you have seen this movie let me know your thoughts. My rating 1.5 out of 5. #bombshell #boring #thedemiseofrogerailes
