25.01.2022 Our staff at Traditional Funerals are on call 24/7. The work can be extremely challenging and requires a high degree of emotional intelligence. But at the end of the day, when we receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers from one of our families, we can't help but smile (. . . and maybe shed a tear).

24.01.2022 We appreciate your kind feedback Jude. Here at Traditional Funerals, our priority is families and the care they receive.

24.01.2022 For those that we have served, our thoughts are with you on this special day.

24.01.2022 When the declarations of a coronavirus pandemic came to light, many people in the community suffering the loss of a loved one experienced an increase in the levels of normal grief emotions including anxiety. The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement have put together some fact sheets outlining some useful strategies which are available to view or download on their website. If you are struggling to manage feelings of anxiety or loneliness due to the loss of a loved one, connect with a family member or friend who may be able to help. Additional support can be accessed through your local GP or a professional counselling service. https://www.grief.org.au//Grief_and_Bereavement_and_Corona

23.01.2022 "Never stop. One stops as soon as something is about to happen." - Peter Brock A local company 'Baxter Basics and Sons' kindly donated their time and a replica of Peter Brock's VK Holden Commodore to be in attendance at a recent service at our Burpengary chapel. Thank you to Gary and your team for making it such a memorable service.

22.01.2022 NATIONAL SHORTBREAD DAY Today we recognises a classic Scottish treat enjoyed around the world. To celebrate we would love to share our caterer Bernie's recipe for the best shortbread biscuits! 1 Cup of Butter (Salted or Unsalted)... 1/2 Cup of Sugar 1 Large Egg 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract 3 Cups of Plain Flour 1/2 Teaspoon on Baking Powder 1. Beat butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until blended, light and creamy. 2. Add in egg and Vanilla and mix until blended. 3. Add flour and baking powder until blended. 4. Divide dough into 3 or 4 pieces, place in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour. 5. After an hour remove the dough and preheat oven to 200F. 6. Roll dough on a floured board to the desired thickness and cut to shape. 7. Place dough on a tray with baking paper or cooking spray and place in oven. 8. Set oven timer to 10-15 minutes (may take longer depending on the oven). 9. Decorate with powdered sugar for the top. 10. Enjoy!
