22.01.2022 At the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we commemorate Remembrance Day. The start of World War I in 1914 had a dramatic impact on Australia, with large numbers of men rushing to enlist to serve their country. Throughout the war, 8,447 men from the NSW Railways and Tramways Department enlisted, and by the end 1,214 never returned home.... This is the story of just one of those men, William Charles Bailey. You can discover more about William and all those brave railwaymen who died serving our country at the NSW Railways Remember website: www.nswrailwaysremember.com.au #lestweforget2020
