02.01.2022 Since its beginnings in Oct 2006 the TraumAid International Quilts project has seen 415 quilts sent to the orphan children of Baraka Academy, Bunia, DRC in three separate shipments. This has meant that the original 246 orphans of Baraka Academy have received quilts and now also some of the orphans of Baraka 2. Here are some photos from the last shipment of quilts which, despite a few transit hiccups, finally arrived in the DRC and were delivered to Baraka students the other ...week. The faces of the students show their extreme excitement at receiving such the beautiful gifts! Thank you to all the people who donated material, sewed the quilts, packed the quilts up for sending and ultimately made sure they arrived safely.

01.01.2022 The students at Baraka Academy last week enjoyed a fun filled football match against Bangladesh's UN Peace Keepers. The match was close with superb skill shown from both team. However Baraka Academy came away the winners with a 3-2 victory. Congratulations!!
