This is what inspired o...ur current logo shown in the photo on the right and we love that the new encompasses the old! We are so grateful that some of these original windows have survived the test of time See more

20.01.2022 Hello Facebook Friends!! Things are moving ahead at the Travellers Rest Hotel. Lookout next week for pictures of our new Beer Garden as planting begins.... We know you are all excited to hear about our menu offering. Food will definitely be an important part of the experience at Travellers Rest Hotel. We want to ensure we offer something you will all want to keep coming back to enjoy. So please bear with us as we work hard to develop the best menu with an emphasis on local produce. Once our kitchen is able to offer you a good "feed" you will all be the first to know. Thank you for your patience and in the meantime we invite you for a drink at the pub. Now known as the Bantock Bar! Opening Soon!!

20.01.2022 WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THE BANTOCK BAR IS READY FOR RE-OPENING!! We will be re-opening at 5pm on Friday 27th November. Saturday 28th November from Midday, we invite all of you to bring your families to enjoy the new Beer Garden and deck. Lookout for a a short video that shows you a little of what we have done. Looking forward to meeting you all!!

12.01.2022 NOT LONG TO GO FRIENDS!! The Beer is getting colder and the weather is getting warmer! It seems you are all as excited as we are to open this Friday. Just a few very important things to note before you visit! We will be an EFTPOS ONLY venue to begin with, no transaction fees.... We wont have any food on offer, but this is coming soon! Covid restrictions are still in place and we will need to social distance where possible, masks are needed if inside, when necessary. We will have a QR code system in place and you can just scan this as you enter the Bantock Bar, to ensure we capture your details. The Restaurant area will be open to sit and enjoy your drinks, should the bar or beer garden become full. We are looking forward to hosting you!!

09.01.2022 Hi to all the Travellers Rest Hotel supporters! Firstly I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I am Adrian and will be managing the pub. I have recently moved to the local area and I very much look forward to meeting you all.... We are very excited to let you all know that we are doing some small renovations, and you will definitely see some activity in the next few weeks. There will be a slight change in colour scheme, a great new beer garden and the back deck will also have a makeover. Our hope is to the have pub open by the end of November and open the restaurant and accommodation in stages. 07.01.2022 Hello Facebook Friends! We are really excited with the changes at Travellers Rest Hotel, and our Beer Garden is near complete. Outside Painting is done and now the the focus is our back terrace. We look forward to seeing you all this Summer. There are still some great tables and umbrellas to come for the Beer Garden, but we hope you like how it looks so far.

06.01.2022 It’s been a while since our last post. Just wanted to let all our followers know that the pub has sold. We’d like to once again thank all of our loyal customers for your ongoing support and understanding. We’d also like to wish new owners, Sean & Jill, all the very best as future publicans and can’t wait to support them from the other side of the bar Please continue to keep an eye on this page for any future updates.

04.01.2022 Hi again to all our followers. Firstly a big thank you for all the support. We have our first update. Work has begun on our new Beer Garden. Looking forward to some great times this Summer out there.

04.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the current restrictions, it is still not viable for us to operate. Come 22nd June, the 4square metre rule still applies and severely limits the number of people we could have seated at tables. There are many small country pubs in the same predicament. Please know that this decision was not made lightly and we have considered every possible option. We would like to thank all of our loyal patrons and followers for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time. Ock & Lisa
