10.01.2022 The dogs got pretty hot today drenching, back lining & foot bathing off shears. Pretty happy with my young bitch Arlo, she worked all day till I knocked her off @ 4pm for a spell. She wasnt happy to sit out & watch. Not long now and Ill let her go all day.

06.01.2022 F.O picking up the tab on Vet Bills Say a shepherd has 6 dogs. A top mainstay huntaway, 6k. A couple of decent backup huntaways, 3k each, and a mob flogger in t...he yards, 2k. One top heading dog, 3.5k and a secondary heading dog 2.5k. Thats a 20k team of dogs. How is he meant to cover that out of a 35k cash salary? Its only reasonable to expect the shepherd to cover all costs himself if youre paying him 3x the combined value of his team of dogs, ie 60k. Otherwise dont be a tightarse, the farm can afford a 2k vet bill a lot easier than your shepherd can, because shepherds wages have not kept pace with the value of the dogs they run.
