It can take weeks for this to happen, but I am sure the Principal will introduce herself/himself as soon as they can. This is a very exciting step towards our new school, and it will be lovely to welcome them to our community. A few Treeby community members met Mesha Steel, the Principal at Aubin Grove Primary School. 19.01.2022 On Wednesday 9th June 2021, we had the privilege of having Steve from MetroNet coming to update us about the Cockburn-Thornlie link. It was an informative evening where he has shown the progress and some conceptual drawings of what the station will be like once it is completed in late 2022. One of the main takeouts is that there will be some major disruption on the Mandurah Line from late December for up to 25 days to widen the track for the future Cockburn-Thornlie Link. I h...ad made a blog post on TCA website with more information from what we learnt. They are also requesting feedback on the disruptions. https://www.treebyca.com.au/cockburn-thornlie-link-is-coming

07.01.2022 Treeby has a great range of cultures and language groups and our new primary school will be a lovely multicultural community. For some families, it is difficul...t to picture their child in an English-speaking environment, if their child has limited or no spoken English. Teachers have a lot of resources and a high skillset which will ensure your child feels safe supported and understood. We would love to know which cultures and language groups are within Treeby. Please tell us your language group, so we can gauge how diverse our lovely community is. Please be reassured that spoken English is NOT a requirement for children to be enrolled into a school, but teachers and Principals like to know which language groups are in their care so they can reflect your culture in the classroom. 01.01.2022 By 2024, there will be around 24,000 dogs and 20,000 cats in Cockburn. As the furry family grows, so does the need for clear objectives on driving responsible pet ownership and ensuring that facilities are appropriately accessible and equipped to manage the growing population of pets. Using the insight from the community, a draft Animal Management & Exercise Plan has been compiled. This plan is only a draft and needs your feedback and ideas for improvement. A finalised pl...an will be presented to Council for adoption in September. The purpose of this draft plan is to: * Encourage responsible dog and cat ownership * Provide sufficient, safe spaces for pets, people and wildlife * Manage feral cats * Embrace digital technology initiatives in animal management https://comment.cockburn.wa.gov.au/draft-amep Go check it out and have your say!
