23.01.2022 Strange way to start a bushwalk (on the road from Katoomba train station to the Explorer's tree where the track starts)

21.01.2022 Finally made it to the big time!

21.01.2022 All, this is just to let you know that we now have some of the "Lite" version of the Trekker's Friend back in stock. Working on replenishing the "Classic" version and on getting larger quantities in. See website at https://trekkersfriend.com for more information. Cheers, Chris Lowe, the Trekker's Friend!

19.01.2022 Testing of Trekker's Friend version 2 finished today. Version 2 is lighter, cheaper and simpler to use than version 1. Now weighs 1.5 kg, and will sell for less due to simpler construction, but just as strong as before!

19.01.2022 Walked from Kilkivan to Goomeri (28 km) today on the Kilkivan to Kingaroy rail trail. The Trekker's Friend carried my pack for me though, so it was easy!

18.01.2022 Tackling Mount Lofty near Adelaide with the Trekker's Friend today!

18.01.2022 Well I finished the Six Foot Track this morning, and a good walk it was. Was great for me - the #TrekkersFriend carried my pack for me most of the way!

16.01.2022 Went for a walk yesterday taking a 17 kg backpack. Walked 43 km from Orroral Valley Tracking Station to Corin Forest and return. Was a long walk, was very grateful that my Trekker's Friend carried my pack almost the entire way.

14.01.2022 This stage was Thornleigh Station to Woolwich, then by ferry back to Circular Quay. Had to do the first day last because, on what was intended to be the first day I got a late start, coming from Canberra, then had a long wait for what turned out to be the wrong ferry. Coupled with the short daylength, there was nowhere near enough time to wait for another ferry and do the walk to Thornleigh. 14.01.2022 Interesting wildlife seen when testing Trekker's Friend v2 in the Brindabellas near Canberra...(yes, it is alive!)

11.01.2022 Time to take the #TrekkersFriend for a walk! Heading to the Blue Mountains to do the Six Foot Track. #Hiking #Trekking #Bushwalking

10.01.2022 The next step in lightweight trekking is to put your backpack on wheels.

07.01.2022 These lightweight hiking trailers were sold out twice lately, but are now back in stock. Both versions (Classic and Lite) are available again. See to order, or for more info. Will try harder to keep up with the demand in future! https://trekkersfriend.com/trekkers-friend-hiking-trailers/

06.01.2022 Wondabyne Station - end of day 4 End of my walk on the Great North Walk (GNW) with the Trekker's Friend for now. Heading back to Thornleigh Station tomorrow to do Day 1, from there back to Circular Quay (partly on a ferry), then home. The GNW is a great walk, and I look forward to coming back to finish it off. 06.01.2022 Just reached 300 likes - thanks to all! - the Trekker's Friend

05.01.2022 Pictures from early on a walk from Tharwa to Guthega, with an earlier version of the Trekker's Friend (in October 2018). The walk took about 9 days (with no food drops), and the Trekker's Friend carried my pack for most of the way, which made it pretty easy.
