We made our way to the foot of the pass, Phedi, a small busy settlement used as a base camp for trekkers and climbers. After a few hours rest we pushed on to the Upper Base Camp as this would save us around 2hrs the following morning. We reached it by 14:30 and rested and kept warm, it was freezing up there!
