23.01.2022 March updates! Our painting challenge (1 figure a day) continues unabated- would highly recommend it if your painting is not happening at the moment. Lon completed Limbers for ECW and 30YW. Ara is painting some 40kays Death Guard poxwalkers. Total so far, Lon=42; Ara=28. Been more playtesting of new rules, this time with Nic adding his ideas. Been a long time since our 15mm Battlefront figs were rolled out... great little minis Adam has completed his Dredd cosplay, just in time as we prep our game for the FINAL Little Wars Melb ever!!! (or is it? ;) )

19.01.2022 Four days left! - If you have a short story in you, and have the time at the moment, get it published in our 'Life in the Time of Corona' compilation. Stories have already started coming in... stories about insomnia and vivid dreams, memories of travel, missing friends & family we are away from, the ups and downs of uber-driving in lockdown, the Black Plague in 16th century Venice, the Masque of the Red Death in a modern New York apartment complex... Write it down and share!... (y) https://manapress.com.au//life-in-the-time-of-corona-an-up

19.01.2022 As we move slowly to the end of Covid lockdown in Melbourne, it's been nice to receive another 'hobby care package' from Nic at Eureka. When you're stuck at home, there's nothing so much fun as opening a little postal bag of goodies! A Battlefield Accessories waka to do some rules for Tribal... Some 1930s 'Right Bloody Mess' infantry who'll work great for Maximillian 1934 crew and snipers. A time machine(!), and some monkeys! Lubbly Jubbly. Thanks to the fullahs at Eureka Miniatures.

19.01.2022 Greetings to all gamers, especially those more than 5km away from us at Mana Press (just a little bit of Melbourne lockdown laughter) It's been hard getting through this Covid second wave, as we've been locked away in our own little worlds. Luckily, we've been keeping ourselves busy with all sorts of projects. We hope to update you on what we've been doing in the coming weeks... First of all, we've had Brendan Day, Maximillian fan and car-mechanic extraordinaire, encourag...ing us to get creative at home with a DIY Maximillian car-building instruction kit - using readily-available materials in our homes... You can get a hold of the instructions here: https://cdn.shopify.com//Roadster_Guide_and_Template_v2.0_ To encourage people to get car-building, we're offering prizes for the best cars built from these instructions. Feel free to bling em up, paint em how you like, add all sorts of accessories to your hearts' content! Cars will be voted on here and at the Maximillian 1934 player group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/367937393666028 More details on our blog: https://manapress.com.au//maximillian-1934-car-manufacture Entries close last day of September... So... get constructing all you mad-maximillian-makers!!!

17.01.2022 Adam displays the honour tokens for his Ludus in our Gladiator Game of Tribal

15.01.2022 We hope everyone is managing well in their homes and rooms. The Mana Press fullahs are keeping themselves occupied with painting and hobby-related activity... isolation from friends & beer at the games table can be a bugger hey? :/ Brightening our day has been the arrival of the April issue of Wargames Illustrated. Have been a bit 'down' about WI lately, but this issue was a cracker (lots of lovely figures and games in there). Wayne Bollands has authored a brilliant little ar...ticle on introducing Infantry into our games of Maximillian 1934. And there's a few photos of the Tribal 30K BC game put on at Tactica/Germany by the guys at Wraith's Tabletop - spectacular looking game. In fact, all of Tactica looks amazing! (y) As for us, Lon & Ara continue with their painting challenge. Bit more of a ww2 focus this week, 15mm 8th army from Lon and Artixan FJ from Ara. Keep painting out there everyone - the shared gaming tables (and beer) will return - and they require newly painted figures! ;) See more

14.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has submitted stories, essays, songs and poetry for our short-story compilation 'Life in the Time of Coronavirus'. Submissions have closed and we have been going through a bunch of beautifully crafted work from many people - here in Australia and from overseas. We are pleased to say that we have accepted 20 stories from writers, and we are possibly looking at a couple more. Now we put our heads down, get into the editing process, and work hard to get th...is book out as soon as possible. Hopefully, at the end of all this, we will have a set of stories to remember our times with Coronavirus and lockdown! 13.01.2022 Week 3 of Cancon2Cancon challenge. More Maori for Ara's Tribal games - allows him to field 6 warrior units and 3 heroes. Also played around with some greenstuff to make a flax cloak for a hero, and feathers for warriors etc, Lon has been doing... Cuirassiers! The Flags can swap out for ECW or 30YW. With all this painting, have been doing some listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Can recommend: i) BBC history podcast 'In Our Time', academics and Bragg chat about particular topics. I listened to the Battle of Teutoburg forest and Doggerland. Fascinating stuff! and ii) The Sea Wolves by Lars Brownsworth, a good recap of Viking History over many centuries.

09.01.2022 Moritur te Salutant - FREE Tribal supplement Go here: https://manapress.com.au//moritur-te-salutant-free-tribal- At Mana Press we have been playing a fair few Gladiator games over the years. Last year, Adam provided a few more addendums to our Tribal rules for Gladiatorial combat - which we used for our Little Wars Adelaide Tribal game. It was good fun, and Adam has formalised some of these changes into a supplement for Tribal.... We would like to offer this supplement for free - just purchase it (at $0) through our shop on the Mana Press page. Please enjoy, have fun playing and let us know if there's anything else we need to add! Ad Victoriam!

09.01.2022 Check out our latest blog post from Mana Press: https://manapress.com.au//mana-press-getting-on-with-thing An update to the Car building competition (ie we've had to extend closing dates); some online gaming of Command and Colors with Nic and Ara; and some thanks to Leadbear Tufts. (y)

08.01.2022 Stay safe around the world everyone!Especially our friends in Europe, who have gone into some strict lockdown measures. As one swiss customer pointed out to me, the French magazine Vaevictis magazine has an article on TRIBAL written by Marc Dodinot - featuring his Maori figures and an interview with Ara. Nice one! (y) Talking about lockdown, PAINTING is always good when you're stuck inside all day... Our C2C paint challenge continues, Lon has painted an entire sleeve of ECW shot in a week (total=58) and Ara has done some 40kays (total=42).

08.01.2022 Received a wonderful surprise in the mail this week. A package all the way from Normski Ealand of BrokenToad in Middlesbrough UK. Two absolutely brilliant dioramas inspired by our Maximillian 1934 games. In these times of social isolation, it's just nice to receive these gestures of friendship & generosity from the other side of the world. Norm would probly tell us to pi$$ off , but thanks mate! <3 <3

Check out their tabletop ready range here, and help a fellow Melburnian company out. https://www.battlefieldaccessories.com.au/
