24.01.2022 This week in the Toddler room in Barooga, we have been learning about the Indian culture. You may have seen our photos of us on the door dressed wearing the traditional Indian piece of clothing - the head scarf. We have been involved in many other aspects of India also, involving listening to a range of Indian music and today the children got to try an Indian samosa or curry puff. As you can see, these were a hit!
22.01.2022 This week the Kinder children at our Cobram centre have visited both the Post Office and the Commonwealth Bank. Both visits provided such wonderful learning opportunities for the children and it was a great opportunity to become involved in and learn about our community. At the Post Office we sent off our pictures and letters to our friends that we are missing at the Barooga centre. We want to thank both businesses for having us and thank them for the wonderful gifts we received; stamps from the Post Office and stickers and a money box from the Commonwealth Bank.
21.01.2022 The toddler children experienced a bit of Italian today, engaging in a cooking experience where we made pizza! We were also very lucky to have Grace teach us counting from 1-10 as well as a few other words that we all enjoyed pronouncing.
19.01.2022 At Trikki Kidz Barooga today while talking about the commonwealth games Madeline told us that she watched the gymnastics, so this afternoon we watched a short video of men's and women's Olympic gymnastics. We held our own gymnastics event with the children showing us a variety of skills as they did cartwheels, somersaults, balancing and a bit of dancing. We then chose our winners who were awarded a ribbon and medallion each. While this is a fun activity for the children it gave them an opportunity to use large and small body movements and practice their co-ordination skills as well as show us some awesome dance moves
19.01.2022 Continuing on with exploring where our parents work, the Barooga Infants engaged in making an IGA supermarket which is where Nicholas' Dad works! This was great fun.

11.01.2022 Today Olivers mum brought in some plastic eggs for decorating his Easter bonnet, we thought it would be such a great idea to use them for egg and spoon races first. Egg and spoon races promote social interaction, the ability to take turns, the development of hand eye coordination and balance and most importantly this is all done while enjoying a fun game and celebrating Easter!
