06.01.2022 Meet the Coach My name is Toni, I grew up in Orange NSW and moved to Rockhampton in January 2019. I have been involved in the sport of gymnastics since early childhood, through to becoming a competitive WAG (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) gymnast at Central West Gymnastics in Orange. I finished competing when I was around 16 years old. ... I fell in love with the sport as a gymnast and then again as a coach. I began volunteering as a coach when I was 14 years old and completed my beginner, intermediate and advanced coaching accreditations. I coached all the way through high school and university where I completed my Bachelor of Education (early childhood and Primary), thinking I would become a teacher as I enjoyed working with children. This did come to be, but not in the way I had first expected. After graduating, I decided that I could combine my love of gymnastics and my love of teaching to create a passion. Thus Triple Threat Gymnastics was born. After moving to Rockhampton and working in an early childhood centre for 6 months, I opened Triple Threat Gymnastics in January of 2020 starting with two KinderGym classes in a small space at the YWCA Hall. In January 2021, the club had grown enough to move to a bigger venue! Bringing us to our current Alma street gym where I run 26 classes throughout the week, while also doing supply teaching in State Schools three days a week. I’ve had many roles in my coaching career, with children of all ages: from KinderGym and other recreational classes, to becoming coordinator for the competitive boys program at Central West Gymnastics, taking boys to regional and state competitions. And now, owning my own gym! I have many goals and aspirations for Triple Threat Gymnastics which I am slowly moving toward with the support of family and friends. I’m so grateful to all of the amazing families who are currently involved in the club and to those who have supported me since the beginning. I love seeing all the smiling faces coming in every week and hearing from parents how much their child loves coming to gymnastics and how much their confidence has grown since they started! I really hope that TTG can provide the same happiness and sense of belonging to the children and families involved that it does me

06.01.2022 The last two weeks in BabyGym we have been learning movements to stimulate the baby’s vestibular system through different rotations. Today we introduced forward rolls! Our parents learnt spotting methods to support the children through the roll, encouraging them to tuck their head under for the roll. They all did so well!!
