18.01.2022 Another day and our beloved country continues to burn. So much devastation and loss. It seems surreal that although we are many kms from the nearest fire, today we too are shrouded in heavy smoke-filled air. I can only imagine what is must be like for those in the thick of it. My heart goes out to those directly affected and to our brave firies fighting what must seem an endless battle, with conditions set to worsen again towards the end of the week. . If like me you are keen... to help those impacted by the bushfire crisis, please see below reposted content from the lovely Janet @thesourceballarat listing many options available to pledge your support:- . Donate directly to a local fire station. Call them and ask them what they need (tip: new face masks cost $112 each from @allensindustrialproducts). This way you know for certain the funds you give will go directly to firefighters, volunteers and people on the front line. 04.01.2022 Time has flown since I last posted - and obviously not for all the right reasons. Over the course of the last two months, we have all had our lives turned upside down by the implications of COVID-19 and no exception here. It seems incredible from working at full-speed in peak wedding season in early March; a week or so later we were busy supporting so many devastated couples making the difficult decision to reschedule their dream day in the face of this horrible virus. Heartb...reaking for everyone but I have been so humbled and grateful for the continued support of my lovely clients who have moved to rebook rather than cancel. Thank you all so much From there, my focus had to move swiftly to my own family and the enormous changes facing us during this time. Not only did that mean gearing up four kids (and husband!) for the move to home-based learning and work; but also supporting my babies as they faced a daunting and scary time without contact with friends, grandparents and family. Another challenge! Two weeks into the new term, and I finally feel our family has turned a corner and has settled reasonably well into the new normal - at least for the time being So I have finally made it back to Facebook! Moving forward, I will be checking in more regularly with updates, news and hopefully some handy tips to help you on your wedding and event planning journeys moving forward. And of course I'm still available on email, phone or social media for a chat! In the meantime, sending you all lots of love from the Trove team.
