24.01.2022 It was great to see families fishing at Warrina Lakes today. I will let John take the fishing glory, sadly I only caught a lily pad, a stick and tree branch( still attached to the tree). It’s a fun day for school holiday activities.
23.01.2022 Well done to those who attended the initial meeting to discuss creating a Nature Playground at Mission Beach. If you would like to be involved, please contact C4 or myself. Thanks. .
23.01.2022 SPOIL YOUR KIDS ROTTEN this school holiday and start composting in your backyard!! To get your kids inspired, tell them The Tale of an Apple Core: An apple cor...e from your kitchen bin goes into your wheelie bin, which then goes into the garbage truck which drives up to 200 kms to landfill, where it sits with loads of other rubbish costing money for fuel and spoiling the environment. Or... an apple core in a compost bin breaks down, then goes a few meters into your backyard where it costs nothing and helps your garden thrive. Which path will you chose? Watch our full compost tutorial here: http://www.cassowarycoast.qld.gov.au/community-composting-p

07.01.2022 In between Innisfail meetings, I called into the Commonwealth Bank to try my luck at their Cent Sale, supporting the local Breast Cancer Support Group. Well done to the team, and all those who donated the many wonderful prizes. Fingers crossed.
