21.05.2022 Last night despite the 4th Victoria Lockdown our team were out supporting our community’s most vulnerable. People struggling with mental illness from the uncert...ainty and isolation. Stepping into the unknown and meeting the fear and anger with love, patience and playfulness. Sometimes it’s a scary job, stepping into the unknown of a dark night. But our team doesn’t get deterred, we go anyway. Meeting the violence with love said Captain Peter Hobbs. The lockdown has meant our Red Shield Doornock Appeal collection cannot take place this weekend. But it doesn’t mean the need has gone away. We need your help more than ever to help us continue our essential service here on the Bellarine. 17.01.2022 The challenging times we’ve been facing have truly brought out the best in many from our Bellarine Salvo community, especially those first responders, front-lin...ers and volunteers who have been working to keep us all safe. Captains Peter and Diane Hobbs and all of our Bellarine Salvo Family would like to thank all the front line heroes who have put their health and well-being on the line for our community every day. "Saying thank you doesn't seem enough for your service," says Captain Peter Hobbs. "You have all stepped up throughout the lockdown without hesitation, knowing all the risks of catching COVID 19". We have had amazing salvos Tim and Alex Page-Walker provide us, free of charge, with PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). The provision of the new Surf Coast Sanitiser has meant we have had zero cases of COVID amongst our Salvo community, despite our intense community contact with the communities most vulnerable. This has definitely been a contributor to keeping us safe. So as well as our heartfelt thanks for your bravery and courage we have produced this tribute video in honour of your sacrifice and fearless commitment to others. We thank God for you and we salute you! But recognising also that now as we reopen our Thrift Shops there will be more heroes to honour. 17.01.2022 Did you know that the Ranch was named after the Skywalker Ranch? Captain Peter Hobbs is a big Star Wars fan and passionate about film production. Whilst Peter and Diane have actually been to Skywalker Ranch in Marin County California they knew they wouldnt get to work there. So the ethos of the Ranch is similar to Skywalker Ranch. A safe and creative retreat for people to find themselves and explore their destiny and purpose.

15.01.2022 Hello everyone! Road Projects Victoria have contacted us to Inform is they are working hard to get the Bypass completed mid this year. However they will be commencing some significant works on Jetty Road in coming days which will see traffic reduced to one lane and under shuttle flow which is where traffic controllers stop traffic in one direction to allow traffic to come from the opposite direction. ... The traffic managers and engineers will continually assess traffic flow and make sure the impact of these works is minimised as much as possible. However they have asked us to inform users of the Ranch that it would be ideal to leave a few minutes earlier when going to the Ranch to avoid being late for appointments.
