11.01.2022 TTWA Centre Reopening - New Roof Update.. GOOD NEWS - NO MORE ASBESTOS ROOF At long last our roof replacement is completed to a stage where we can re-open as of 3PM TODAY ... We thank you all for your patience during the closure, whilst it took a little longer than anticipated due to a variety of reasons (which were outside of the boards control), we're sure that everyone will be pleased with the outcome. Special thanks to Mel Petch, our TTWA's President (licensed electrical contractor) has kindly donated his time and expertise to get the electrics reinstated (saving our association approximately $5000 in labour costs). With the help of some of the board members (Steve Neale Des Devine and Mohit Kapoor ) and Ken Aitken, it is allowing us to reopen the centre a lot sooner than if we were to outsource the work. Mel will continue to work on getting the electrics fully restored but given the scale of the project it will be chipped away at as time permits with the most important services being restored first. If there are any other electricians in our membership Mel could always use some help Thank you all again for your patience and understanding and we look forward to seeing you all back playing table tennis soon

06.01.2022 ***TTWA AGM Cancellation*** Due to court proceedings undertaken by Brian Lauri, Tony Masel & Steve Masel, the Annual General Meeting of Table Tennis Western Australia, scheduled to take place at 6:30PM on the 29th of January 2020 shall not proceed. To view the Court Order please go to: shorturl.at/dvHMZ... ***TTWA Resignations*** / By Mel Petch I have the unfortunate task of informing our members and stakeholders of the below resignations of those involved in the management of the Association. Resignations as follows (Effective from 5pm, 29th January 2020): Mel Petch (President) Yong Tan (Vice President) Sarah de Rozario (Chief Executive Officer) Des Devine (Country Board Member) Amber Ku (Board Member) Mohit Kapoor (U30 Board Member) Despite a tremendous amount of effort by the people listed above in bringing TTWA out of the stone ages and setting us on a pathway to a brighter future and even though we are very confident that there has been no wrong-doing on our part, none of us have any appetite to fight legal battles that would distract us from the important task of running the Association. We are all extremely disappointed in the circumstances under which we are resigning but are hopeful that TTWA's members take the appropriate action to ensure that the Association succeeds into the future and does not let those with personal agendas assume control. Summer Pennants Unfortunately, due to the above mentioned legal distractions, I have been unable to give Summer Pennants the attention it requires. I'm sure someone will put their hand up to take over this task and get things back on track. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards Mel Petch
