25.01.2022 We had our first Zoom social chat yesterday and it was a roaring success! We had people joining in from interstate and up north as well as the Perth metro area and there were plenty of laughs along the way. If you'd like to take part in one of these chats then please give us a call on 6140 2380 or message us. You can either Zoom in from home or come to Tuart Place and use the computer room. Using Zoom is a great way to stay connected and catch up with familiar faces, or even meet new people.

23.01.2022 In our most recent issue of High Street Happenings, we mentioned that there is lots of work currently being done on High Street as part of the Pipes for Fremantle project. Digging up the streets in order to put down new water pipes has unearthed some of the original jarrah block road surface from the 1890s!

13.01.2022 What a wonderful day! The 15th annual End of year BBQ took place in Waterford on Sunday 15th November. It was a great chance for people to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones. A big thank you to Fred Rea for the wonderful entertainment, the Clonnie boys for their BBQ skills, the Krafty Ladies for putting together all the raffle prizes, everyone involved in selling tickets and calling the raffle on the day, and all those who helped with setting up at the beginning and clearing up at the end.

12.01.2022 A positive side effect of COVID-19 is that flu rates in Australia are lower this year than usual, probably due to all the social distancing and hand washing we've been doing. Did you know that Bobtail lizards get the flu? This short video shows what the key symptoms are and tells you how you can help.

11.01.2022 Last week a group from Tuart Place visited Fremantle Prison. We enjoyed a "Behind Bars" tour where we explored the cells and learnt some of the building's fascinating history, before sharing a delicious lunch at the Convict Cafe - Fremantle Prison. The weather was perfect too, making it a very enjoyable day.

07.01.2022 Have you noticed lots of people have been talking about using Zoom recently? Well Tuart Place is doing it too. Over the last few months, the FACT Inc Board has met via Zoom and so have some of our volunteers (pictured). It’s been a great way to keep in touch while we’ve all been keeping socially distant. From next week, we are going to have regular social chats for participants via Zoom on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you have a smartphone, tablet or computer (with i...nternet) at home then you can join in from home. If you don’t, then you can book a place in our computer room at Tuart Place and join the chat from there. Or if you’re not sure how to use Zoom, then we can organise for a volunteer to give you a call and help set things up. Zoom is a great way to stay in contact with friends and family. Give us a call on 6140 2380 to find out more!
