25.01.2022 It’s been a while since we have posted but there has been a reason why we have been so quiet. TUCKER & NEGUS is evolving and we have some very big news. After so many years of working together, we have dissolved our design partnership!! You’ll be happy to know that our fabulous friendship continues and so does our world of interior design. Matt is taking over the reins and in the next few months TUCKER & NEGUS Interior Design is taking on a new identity that will include t...he addition of many exciting changes along with a brand new name. Introducing MATT TUCKER DESIGN STUDIO. Happy New Year everyone!!!!! Its going to be a brilliant year. and to my glamorous friend Deborah, who has taught me so much, I wish you the very best. 24.01.2022 What goes on the coffee table? The possibilities can get a lot more exciting than a couple of remote controls, a magazine and a bowl full of balls. With a carefully edited collection of interesting items and curiosities, a coffee table can form a stunning centrepiece in your room. There will always be those who choose to decorate them and those who don't. Lets take a look at those who did :)

23.01.2022 Its a winner!! "MARSALA" PANTONE'S COLOUR OF THE YEAR FOR 2015 and the good news is that unlike a lot of other colour trends that we have seen in the past few years, Marsala is definitely a colour that people are going to understand and will actually want to use. Much the same as navy and chocolate, its widely considered a design neutral which means that you can put it with a lot of different things and rework it in many ways when you want to. It's rich, luscious, exotic a...nd very sophisticated.... and perhaps even a little familiar but worth noting, also very different from the popular burgundy tones of the late 80's and early 90's - this time around its much much fresher so it won't make a room feel heavy and oppressive. Marsala lends itself to everything you can imagine in the world of interiors from accessories to textiles, furniture and walls. Soften it with oyster shades of grey or trim it back with ultra white or graphic black for a clean modern twist. It also sits beautifully alongside all sorts of soft looking textural natural finishes. For a chic designer look, Marsala comes to life with rich metal accents like pewter, copper, gold and stainless steel. Matt ;)

21.01.2022 FABULOUS FLOOR RUGS. Carpets don't have to fly to work the right magic. Who doesn't love a great floor rug... particularly in these colder months of the year! They add richness,texture and warmth, ground a space and connect everything together. Here's a few that work perfectly.

20.01.2022 You have got to love a Creative Person let loose on a Christmas Tree - they just do it so much better! ....there's nothing that else says Christmas like a Christmas Tree! Its come to represent a time of year where the world comes together to think happy thoughts and wish good things. We have put together this bumper collection of 100 inspirational "trees" and sent with it our wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all. 19.01.2022 Here's a snippet of a project that we are currently working on. We've updated this entry hall and is now says "WOW". A fresh coat of brighter paint, feature crystal pendant light, a bold gold gaudy console table played back with a massive rustic mirror... The oversized Chinese urns massed with orchids add a touch of the exotic and a big spash of happy! (FYI - the plants are artificial, arranged by Matt to look convincingly real) The owners of this space now love coming home.

17.01.2022 Even though we are generally sleeping we spend a major part of each day in bed and therefore our bedrooms. The first room we see in the morning and the last room we see at night, this space is worthy of some special consideration. 13.01.2022 LATEST PROJECT...Today we photographed a project that we have been working on for a while. Having completed the interiors previously for this unusual front and rear access property, this time we have been working on the outside - the exteriors of the home, landscaping design, planting selections and exterior furnishing. Although we are not landscape designers, when it involves bringing a whole project together and particularly if its for the right person, we'll give it a go. This time we applied our creativity and vision to this one home with 3 unique and individual garden spaces and we are thrilled that our clients love it!

08.01.2022 STUNNING BATHROOM MAKEOVER - Just Completed in Perth. Here's our latest Bathroom Remodel Project and we love the way that it turned out - more importantly our clients are thrilled with the result. The owners of this period home said goodbye to "heidi" cupboards, beige and busy and hello to fresh, timeless and luxurious. The walls and floor are clad in a cost effective small scale carrara marble tile which we laid in an unconventional vertical pattern inspired by designs seen in Indian bone inlay furniture. In order to be budget friendly we re-used the existing bath hob and bath (which was in perfect condition) and added an overscale glass shower booth, a gorgeous Italian wall hung vanity unit and long mirror (picked up on sale at half price for our client) along with clean lined accessories complete the whole look. 07.01.2022 Hi everyone! Here's the sneak peak of our new look which officially begins this Tuesday. This is our floor to ceiling sign across from the cafe at Home Base in Subiaco and we are so excited that we have reached this point. Now we have our sights set firmly on becoming the best, most accessible residential interior design service in Perth! We truly do believe that great design enhances lives, no matter how much you have to spend. Its as much about what you leave out as it is what you put in. Minimal design encourages us to think about forms, textures, light and space to create serene aesthetic beauty.
